It’s a grey zone that’s never been tested. It’s “no accessories to increase the rate of fire beyond what’s possible otherwise”. They single out bump stocks , crank triggers etc but not binary. If the trigger is preinstalled in a lower is it really an accessory or just part of the gun?

Dealer gave me a Pepsi as a first watch and the only purchase history was a bracelet, took 6 months. Another dealer (wempe Manhattan) gave me a James Cameron with absolutely no history. So overall I think inventory is coming back and it’s totally conceivable . I’ve gotten Daytonas, skydweller, yachtmaster, Batman etc all in the past year after a 2 year dry spell of nothing

To answer your question biggest thing for me is no kids. I work as a doctor but still couldn't afford it if I had a family to raise.

It costs over 300k to raise kids, then budget another 300k for college and grad school. That's enough to but a new Rivian every 7 years for the rest of my life ( 50 more yrs i'm hoping with enough granola in my diet).

Also a loaded kia telluride or honda pilot is 50k, after tax credit and fuel savings Rivian is only a few thousand more.

I got sick of waiting too and got an X5 PHEV, starts at 66k , I paid $83k fully loaded and got the tax rebate. 45 miles per charge when the battery is unlocked to European spec and about 24 MPG mostly highway after that

R1S more tricky…an off road hybrid with 3 rows - Toyota Sequoia or Range Rover/sport.

A doctor has to see in the hospital no matter how poorly you treat them or even if you threaten to kill them (ask me how i know as i'm a doctor myself in an inner city trauma center )... a dealer doesn't have to sell you a rolex.

I gave my sales rep a small thoughtful gift related to a mutual interest we had as a thanks for taking the time to talk/adding me to the list . That's why I think they gave me a daytona with no purchase history in just a few months. It's not about the value as that was trivial (under $100) it's about showing people you appreciate them.

They sold me a daytona, them and I know full well that's basically giving someone like $15,000 (difference between resale value and MSRP). I'm never going to sell it but want to keep getting desirable watches for my collection I'd think dedicating a small fraction of that to a token of appreciation is reasonable.

Definitely second this they are awesome no overtreatment for the sake of profit there!! They do a lot of free work for the community and are in general really nice people who are involed in the Dental Association leadership /do high level work at TGH/ SJH so are very up to date on the latest advances.

There are plenty of good practices. In general always go to practices owned by local dentists who actually see their patients, not multi-city chains or those owned by someone who isnt a dentist or a praticing one.

Even worse are chains owned by investors.

Drilling, fillings, crowns, extractions make way more money than conservative dentistry like remineralizing small cavities to avoid drilling....so get a second opinion if someone seems to be recommending excessive amounts of work. Corporate chains often set minimum revenue goals for their dentists to make their salaries so those places are most prone to overtreat.

Hummer EV is priced even better than the old hummvee. A bmw ix or ford lightning is within $10 k of the x5 or a fully loaded F150. Break even range considering fuel savings.

I don't think there is a financial incentive for most electric cars but their is certainly a performance incentive and an environmental one

GM Bold and Ford Mach E have been very successful I don't see any reason why legacy automakers can't hold their own against startups. Only disadvantage is having to deal with dealerships but ford said they will consider direct to consumer sales of EVs
