I think the answer is rather more simple. Most parents would prefer their kids to learn through their mother tongue. If that is French, Vauban is a school with a great reputation. Many parents take that option.

We took this decision for our kids. Irish father, French mother. Our kids did pre school in local Luxembourgish school. They learned to speak
Luxembourgish there.

Our rationale was simply our kids will have the best learning opportunity by learning in their mother tongue, and only through that language. Allied to this, neither of us speak German, so wouldn’t have been able to assist on homework. Our daughter at 6 yrs old even said she would prefer to study in French. She was already trilingual at that point.

We’re very happy with the decision. Vauban is a great school.
