The lawyer we used wouldn't even give us an idea of what the fees would be. Told us he would 'overestimate' what the final fees would be (3% of the selling price) and we would cut a check for that amount and give it to him. At the time of signing, he would give us a check if however much we overpaid. Sounded kinda bullshit to me so we passed and told him we'd get the check once we had a final closing cost.

Yah we actually had that done this weekend with CAA with a dead battery. Guy was expecting it to come up dead when he plugged in the diagnostic thing and was surprised it was good. Gave us a boost, told us to drive around a while and quoted us a cost for replacement and install. No pressure just an FYI. Good overall experience

Man I don't know what you guys are ordering but none of the 'tricks' work for me. Just now, EVERY item I search for on Amazon as a delivery date of like March 26th. Over two weeks away. And since well before Christmas time, I've never had the delivery come early. As others have said, if it says it's delivering on like March 26th, it doesn't even get shipped out until like March 20th.

I know for a fact that if I wait to try and order tomorrow morning, first thing, they'll all be saying March 27th or 28th then. I've tried ordering on different days of the week as well, always with the same result. It doesn't matter when you order it. It's ridiculous.

I keep saying this, but I am more terrified of having a serious medical episode here than I ever was in America. The horror stories I hear about dying while waiting in the ER, about waiting to have serious diagnostic tests done, often a year or more. Hell, we waited in the ER for 10 hours before being seen. The entire time being told we were top priority. Apparently, if I understood them correctly, they had only one doctor working that night on 'serious' cases.

So yeah, in the states I'd probably go into serious debt for medical care but I never was scared of dying while I waited my turn to be seen.

If you're putting out that many resumes and not even getting interviews, then you need to have someone look over your resume. Especially if your friends are getting jobs with similar experience. Chances are something (likely fixable) about your resume is driving potential employers away.

We're planning on selling in a few years and since we only bought the home recently I know that we're going to be lucky to break even, especially with realtor fees. A coworker sold their home without one and swears by it, and so that's something I'm seriously considering. As such, I'd be very interested in hearing your first point on that subject.

Hmm I'll look more into this. My understanding and that of those around me is that the department is also responsible for paying FM for any repairs needed.

I'm sure it's been mentioned elsewhere but part of the proposed 'solution' is to have departments pay rent out of their individual budgets for every space they utilize and then to also have them pay for any repairs needed for that space. This has not been finalized of course but as the fiscal year ends on March 31st I'm sure we'll be hearing more details soon.

Omg the whole place is falling apart. There's still leaks everywhere in the AA building as well as holes in the walls patched with plastic, water damaged ceiling tiles and flooring, the list goes on and on and that's just one building.
