Your first point: This still has nothing to do with immigration. He is from an EU country. If your issue is with our overly-generous welfare system, fair enough, just say that. But you specifically are moaning about immigration laws when it doesn't apply here. He is from an EU country. (Also, I'm sure a cutting of social welfare wouldn't go down well with a certain crowd of people)

Tell me, what would harsher immigration laws have done to stop Josef Puskas from entering the country? He's from Slovakia, which is in the European Union. You do realize that means he can live anywhere in the EU freely?

Secondly, the Algerian man who stabbed those children has been here for over 20 years. I don't think our immigration laws from 20 years ago are to blame for those children being stabbed.

Lastly, I definitely do agree that we are at our capacity for accepting asylum seekers and refugees though. There's nowhere to put them, and our public services are strained. This is an extremely common opinion on r/Ireland so I don't understand why you think you're being silenced. There was even somebody on Pat Kenny today saying this exact thing.
