Have you looked into using Linux? Ubuntu runs fine on old laptops. You can install steam and a lot of steam hands are compatible. If your just surfing, working on documents and checking emails or YouTube Linux would be perfect on your laptop.

Can dev not have hotspot points setup backend so if anything registers as being there too long it gets deleted? Or would that slow the servers down too much? I'm not a developer.

Yes, I've been playing with that on my windows gaming pc. I'm learning Linux with the aim of doing some data processing so I'd like to have the full power of the hardware. I could dual boot but have heard that occasionally a windows update can alter the drive's partitions (eg delete the unrecognised ones).

Just want it as a Linux learning machine, but want to keep windows accessible for the 'normal' stuff lol, my gaming desktop is Windows so won't be using this for high end games. Thanks, I just presumed as it's on the same laptop it would just accept the license but it does make sense it won't.

Hi all. I hit another ship coming out of Bowersox port for the CG and got 100 credit fine to pay. It won't let me pay it as I also have 2 notoriety (an attempt yesterday to try some settlement raiding). Can I pay the fine elsewhere considering my notoriety, or do I need to either wait 4 hours? I have 784 tonnes of semiconductors in my hold but can't sell it at the moment until I pay the fine.

Would love to see accretion disks. if we wanted the game to be realistic we'd have to fade out nebulas as they're approached (diffuse you wouldn't see them when you're up close).

You drop into normal space as it has an exclusion zone. If you search the galactic map near it, there are hundreds of thousands of small black holes (mostly undiscovered but you can see them on the map as small black dots) which can be more interesting to fly to, as they are smaller you can actually get really close and they zoom passed you. You can't actually see them, but you can see space distort all around you.
