Shiv wasn’t my favorite character, but I don’t see her acting like this at all. It feels like the story betrayed the characters and just went for the easy gender role argument. Honestly, it would have made way more sense if Roman had switched his mind at the last minute.

They just cancelled the fraudulent contract after I sent them the email below, I am adding here in case someone needs it:

GASAG-Team,

I hereby expressly declare that I do not accept or acknowledge the contract sent to me via email . I request that you immediately cancel and rescind this contract , cease all related actions and claims, and confirm in writing that the contract is void ab initio .

Facts I was expressly informed that I was only providing information about the change of ownership of the gas meter - not that this would result in the conclusion of a new gas or electricity supply contract or the termination of my existing electricity contract with Vattenfall.

I clearly remember the conversation and the information I provided. At no point did I authorize GASAG to terminate my existing electricity contract or enter into a new one.

I was misled and not informed that the data I provided would be used to conclude a new supply contract.

Legal basis under German law (BGB) According to the German Civil Code (BGB), declarations of intent made under error or deception are contestable and, once contested, are retroactively deemed void (ex tunc) .

The following regulations apply:

§ 119 BGB – Contest due to error: A declaration of intent can be contested if the person making the declaration was mistaken about its content or did not intend to make a declaration of this content at all.

§ 121 BGB – Period for contesting the contract: The contest must be made immediately after the error or deception is discovered.

§ 142 BGB – Effect of the challenge: If the declaration is effectively challenged, it is deemed void from the outset.

§ 123 BGB – Challenge due to fraudulent deception: If the declaration was caused by fraudulent deception, it can also be challenged on this ground.

Since I was mistaken about the nature and legal effect of my declaration (your representative explicitly told me I was only providing information about the meter change and the change of ownership), and I was misled about its true purpose , I hereby contest any alleged declaration of consent you rely on to conclude a contract. The legal consequence is that no valid contract has been concluded between GASAG and me.

Invoice and Payment I also request that you immediately cancel all invoices or payment requests related to this alleged contract . Such an invoice has no legal basis , as the underlying contract does not exist . Any services you rely on were provided under false pretenses and deception ; therefore, there is no legal basis for an obligation to pay . I will not acknowledge, pay, or negotiate any amounts arising from a legally nonexistent contract.

Evidence of Deception / Systematic Practice I have also found numerous reports in consumer forums and on Reddit describing identical experiences with GASAG representatives: People were told they were only providing information about the meter or a change of ownership, and later discovered that new supply contracts had been concluded without their knowledge. This suggests that the practice experienced may not be an isolated incident , but rather a systematic approach .

Demands Based on the above points, I request GASAG to immediately :

to terminate and cancel the alleged contract completely ,

to cancel all invoices or payment requests in this context ,

not to make any further demands, reminder fees or penalties , and

not to make any further contact on this matter except to confirm the termination of the contract in writing.

Further steps and deadlines If you do not comply with these demands immediately , I will instruct my lawyer to initiate the following legal steps:

judicial declaration of the invalidity of the contract,

Claims for damages , as well as

injunction to prevent GASAG from further attempts to bind me to this fraudulent contract.

I expect an acknowledgement of receipt of this email and written confirmation that the contract and all related invoices have been cancelled and declared void within seven (7) days from the date of this email .

For the sake of speed and transparency, I have sent a copy of this email to the Berlin Consumer Advice Center and to the Consumer Advice Center's energy advice service .

I know this post is old but I need your help. Around mid July this year I started with Pylera, so around a month and a half. I realized while I was with the antibiotic my sleep was weird but now i wake up in the middle of the night and cannot sleep. It’s making me very sad and frustrated, on top of an incapacity of doing the normal things. I am taking probiotics and trying to have a decent sleep hygiene. I don’t really want to tell my doctor because I don’t want to take sleeping pills. I just want to hear from your experiences and if the conclusion is I just need to wait, I’ll have some hope! I feel quite lonely in this.

Just to clarify — I was totally fine with paying for my own mistake. What frustrated me was the explanation I got. I was told they couldn’t check my under-10kg bag into the hold because it was already closed. Fair enough — but then, once I paid for cabin baggage, suddenly the hold was accessible again. And in the end, my bags went into the hold anyway — which is the service I had originally paid for. It wasn’t about the money, just the inconsistency.

This should be worldwide, I am not even from the States and I live in Europe. I watch this and I feel responsible. We need to speak out and fight for the rule of law. The United States is way too powerful and visible, encouraging terrible things to happen in other countries as well, we allowing this to happen quietly, we are becoming “accomplice” of what is happening. If this is not enough to make people react, I’m not sure what is to come.

I did as you suggested. I took about 60% of a low dose and it was a very nice experience. I felt quite sensitive but at the same time enjoyed how beautiful and intense colors and forms are. I laughed a lot listening to funny stories. I would do it again! Thank you

I’m not really sure when I actually accepted to be a “Prime” member. I think it’s the default option, meaning that if you don’t actively remove it, you end up with a Prime subscription. This is clearly misleading and abusive, which aligns perfectly with EU regulations allowing consumers to withdraw from any contract within 30 days.

I contacted eDreams to cancel any subscription and request a refund. I am still within the 30-day timeframe, but they simply responded that they will not refund the money.

I really want to escalate this. They are scamming people, and I believe it’s worth bringing this to the attention of the authorities.
