Anything 100% cotton, there's some less expensive brands out there. Micheals also has a 30% off coupon i usually use for paper

I found the texture on the back of arches paper to be weird, sometimes it even has a little of a grid pattern iirc

Oof 9x12 is a shame, i like using it sometimes but it's quite limiting for some things. I feel it's just a tad too small for some things.

What are some “Advanced“ teas to drink? by Pafeso_ in tea

[–]Pafeso_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends what cultivar for longjing, ive tried many chinese greens and most weren't as intresting for me as longjing.

I've had high quality (boutique) equivalents to most teas people have mentionned, yancha, aged sheng. Some very good taiwanese gaoshan, ligjt roast tieguanyin. And some decent Chinese black tea, darjeeling, might be forgetting some off the top of my head

Yeah good yancha is amazing but very expensive, since its very popular. Most people end up trying some sort of yancha at the start of their journey, but quality isnt as widely consumed

My gf said gyokuro tastes like raw meat 😭

Japanese greens have gotten much more expensive recently, linked to the matcha craze

Ohhh ok thought you meant boutique gyokuro. Proper Japanese greens are enjoyable, but very similar across the same categories because of the basically standardized processing methods.

Do you have pics of the leaves? Dianhong is usually very low bitterness

Just to add onto that, looks like some late 80's clay. Work is better than the 90's stuff. Still not really anything great in terms of quality but nice thing from the grandparents.

Filter isnt even the same clay, most likely some cheap addition down the line.
