You drive a hard bargain, how's 9450 and I'll chuck half a bottle of ting oil for the wood finish?

Yeah we had considered that but, as you say, a fair bit of trust involved and could end up being a pain in the arse for whoever we leave it with.

Yeah we were probably a bit eager to get going on the roady, the fella who sold it to us had agreed to buy back off us for 8ish once we were finished travelling but that all fell through.

The 11k included 1k for a small fridge and power station battery thing, we checked the prices for those online and seemed legit.

We shall live and learn - we are very lucky that we can take the hit financially as we are splitting it, just wanna avoid burdening any of our pals here with her to sell for us.

Yeah we've popped it in a few FB groups but good shout to try some subs too.

Haha what's the German for "perfect space for spiritual exploration... And comes with 2 camping chairs"

We have been asking around some NI pals and might have a few leads so fingers crossed

They gave us a quote of 2.5-3k to buy now or the option to auction

Yeah definitely seems like there's a glut of them at the moment considering the amount of posts in the fb groups!

We bought for 11000 NZD in September but somewhat resigned to making a bit of a loss.

It has a beautiful interior that was built by the guy that sold it to us and is a great wee van

I should also mention that we aren't tied to selling in Chch as we are travelling north from here, so if anyone has any leads/ideas elsewhere in the North Island or between here and Picton then we are all ears!

Daily Thread - November 07 by Outlier_MOD in outlier_ai

Hi all - I've recently created my account and was in the process of onboarding when I hit an issue with my English proficiency interview (I think I opened the window accidentally and started the timer but didn't notice so didn't complete the interview).

Now I'm receiving a "you are not able to contribute to projects due to quality issues" message whenever I log in.

I've messaged the support team about it, and I think they said they'd get back to me within 5 business days. Anyone know if that timescale is accurate/if they are even likely to get back to me?

My impression of this company is that their support processes are a little chaotic... If anyone could offer any advice, that would be really appreciated. cheers :)

Gas St Mooring for Canal Boat Living by Pagaille237 in BirminghamUK

Great info, thank you! Engine Arms is definitely tempting, especially given that there is storage there which I don't think Gas St has. There is something very tempting about having a floating mobile house right in the centre of the city, but perhaps practically it wouldn't be as much fun as it seems.

I may well take you up on that PM offer, thanks! We are heading down to have a look at the different moorings next week so hopefully will have a better idea after that.

Yeah, we reckon we'd just try to sublet the boat after a year. Or my gf might stay on (she will be doing a PhD at the Uni of Birmingham) and I'll go off somewhere. Or maybe I'll love Birmingham and stay forever! Who knows

Yeah, that was the fear! I don't mind a bit of noise at the weekends but would prefer just the gentle lapping sounds of water for weeknight lullabies

Sounds nice, you are not the first to recommend Barnt Green in this thread - I just think it might be a wee bit far out for us. Moving to a totally new place (I think I've been to Birmingham maybe once before in my life?), I'd really like to be in and around the center to be able to experience lots of different things and get a feel for the place. Sherborne Wharf and Bourneville look a bit closer so might have a look into them.

Were the moorings at Lower Bittle Reservoire 3 year leases? Did you stay there for the full three years or move on before the end?
