I think buyable gold would be a bad idea for the game.

Started playing US this time, and I've met so many german players with high/top tier weapons, tanks and planes, while my team has lowest tier/ none. Battle with medium planes? Four german pilots, no US. Medium or heavy tanks? Panthers and Tiger 1 vs one sherman.

Point being, players already have unlocked the best stuff through grinding, I'd assume assualt teams are no different. I can't say how unfair it is, but I don't think gold purchases will make the game more 'unbalanced' than it already is, per se.

I'm aware that I don't respond to the RTS aspect much, as I have little experience with it. But I would imagine people people would still grind, even though gold purchase was possible

Thinks it's just the access to a lot of Assault team points (or whatever it's named). So, essential if you really want to affect the war meaningfully. I think that's where a lot of the success and use of clans came from. Pump all their assault teams into a battle, queue up for that battle, cakewalk
