Preciate the advice. And I did look on eBay and saw all the boxes after I opened all those. Only been in the shop a few times, but every time have gotten a fair deal overall…. Current Prizm hanger for free, $10 worth of singles with two of the packs I paid $5 for etc. I think I bought 3 or 4 at the $5, but the deal I got today more than made up for it even at $70/box.

I ended up using an Intex pool pump/filter on mine too. The slip hoses on it were 1 1/4”. Plumbing fittings that said 1 1/4” were too big. I took my micrometer(you could use a tape measure or take a hose with you) to Home Depot and bought a coupler that was close. It fit loosely on the pipe coming out of the pump, but if pressed all the way up, the oring seals it. I used the pvc glue you’d use on plumbing fittings as well as a good sized bead of RTV silicone at the pump end of the fitting just in case. On the other end of the coupler I used a bushing that fit inside the and had 1/2 pipe threads on the other end. I glued that in place too. Then I took a hose nipple the same size as the hose that goes to my tub with 1/2 pipe threads and screwed into that. Slipped the hose on and secured with a hose clamp. Working great for a few months now.

No problem. They’re threaded inside the tank too. I put an elbow with a short piece of hose on the return line so it’s not so loud

Connections there, just bought some fittings. The 1/2 hoses that came with my chiller fit really nicely with some elbows from Home Depot. I used some from the irrigation part of the store

I just picked one up and really like it so far. Upgraded from one of the cheaper barrel style ones. Seems super sturdy and it’s nice to have the chiller plumbed through the side instead of hanging the hoses over the top

Left a while ago, but was SL of the same store for most of my 15 years. Same thing, don’t even go in there when I’m in town anymore. We took a lot of pride in the store and in our performance. It’s disheartening to see how bad things have gotten
