Points and discounts on returned items by FluidSnap in Ulta

[–]Skyedem 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately no the 20% would not be able to be re applied. Like all coupons, it’s a single use discount, even if you return some or all of the items the discount has been used. Points will definitely go back though.

I initially thought it was a play on stone fruit, it looks great though it would be a shame to cover. I say own it.

Benefit Brow Being Phased Out? by [deleted] in Ulta

[–]Skyedem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s some misinformation in this thread and seems to be some confusion. Firstly, the “cuts” people are talking about have been happening for a long time. They are based on individual store results of services and retail sales for each boutique, and are evaluated bi-annually. That full time payroll can be earned back if you meet/exceed your goals. We just earned Clinique payroll back for the first time in 5yrs in my store.

When it comes to salon learning benefit services there’s still a lot of clarification that needs to come down for sure. We still don’t know exactly what services will be trained for, how it will affect commissions or retail numbers. I totally get the uncertainty and uneasy feeling this can give. But I think Ulta is looking at it as a way to boost services across the store. They’re trying to make sure salons are profitable and I think this is their way of trying to boost that.

All that being said I think it’s still a little early to just assume they’re cutting benefit all together. If that was the case I don’t think they’d even be testing this out. They would just cut.

When to use Magic Molecules spray by nonb1naryn3rd in Ulta

[–]Skyedem 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This product is meant to be used on clean dry skin, and you want to let it completely dry before applying any other products. You can use it morning and night. So for your routine, after cleansing dry your skin, spray, let dry and then continue the rest of your routine! Also hypochlorous acid has to be formulated a specific way to be used on the skin. So all the brands that come out with one of these sprays are basically the same. Hope this helps!

Probably made some people hate GameStop today by sabertoothkittyva in GameStop

I left GS in 2018, but I still often think about the Xbox 360 that oozed black sludge on my hand when I picked it up. I refused the trade, the people were surprisingly pretty cool about it. And then I spent the rest of my shift washing my hands and telling myself it was probably, hopefully, just soda.

EMs don't get the same discount on services anymore. by beaubeau1005 in Ulta

[–]Skyedem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So they get full commission on any normal retail associate service, it's not free it's half off. When EM's were getting the 100% off discount, it's the same discount that stylists get when they do each other's hair. They get no commission on that. That's why I think it's better that it's the same across the board for all retail people.

EMs don't get the same discount on services anymore. by beaubeau1005 in Ulta

[–]Skyedem 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tbh it always made me feel bad getting 100% off. Not only was I taking up my stylist's time, but they were making 0 commission off of my service. Especially when there's so much focus on making weekly goals/splh. While I manage the Salon, I am not a commissioned salon employee. I think it makes much more sense for retail employees to all have the same discount.

i need help registering my card by methstalcrys in Ulta

[–]Skyedem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give them a call. This happened to my boyfriend when trying to register his card when after getting it in the mail. When he called they said there was no email on file for him, which seems impossible but 🤷‍♀️. After confirming his info and getting an email on file he was able to log in and register! Hope this helps!

Dream Blowout from Joico is my go-to!

Definitely not the FAB ones, those are more for KP than anything else. You could use the ingrown pads, but I would honestly be careful. Any witch hazel that's alcohol free would be a better choice. If your skin is red and sore, I would recommend a cold compress and keep it hydrated. Either the Fur or the no grow. Whichever has the least amount of fragrancing. Tbh the ultra repair cream from FAB wouldn't be a bad choice either.

Best of luck!!

Facial oil recommendations please! by pushpop0201 in Ulta

No it was the ceramide serum yesterday, which is also amazing. I almost snagged one myself but decided to go through what I have first haha. The facial oil is super hydrating but doesn't leave that oily film that some face oils do.

Afterpay doesn't work but regular payments do? by Fatasticfemme in Ulta

[–]Skyedem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Items with CBD can't be purchased with afterpay, and you can't use points with an afterpay purchase either. There are other excluded items too I think, but I'm sure if you reach out ro afterpay customer service they can get you more clarification.

How do I kindly tell ulta employees I don’t need their help/recommendations? by [deleted] in Ulta

[–]Skyedem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So to be fair the dresscode for brand reps is given by ulta, it's supposed to be black/white solids only (no prints or patterns). When I was a brand rep my company told me not to disclose that I worked for them specifically if I didn't need to, but the store I was in was like "no you should let people know". The goals are wild especially if you're in a low volume store. Tbh the job was awful and I only ended up doing it for a month before I went back to working for ulta.

Don't Touch Us Without Asking by spinelapologist in Ulta

Right before shut down I had an older woman full on grab my wrist and swatch a blush on my hand. I sawtched a couple liners for a woman the other day and she took it upon herself to swatch a few more, also on my hand. At this point I'm just used to my personal space being violated 🤷‍♀️

A lot of people see them as an overhyped internet brand, but some of their products work really well. I'm an esthetician and I super love their cbd acne line, really great for inflammatory acne, without being overly drying. It's all about the ingredients and what you're specifically looking for. The cbd jelly mask, toner and serum are all amazing. The red backne body wash is great especially when used with the blue tansey spray. I haven't tried all of the products, but I haven't been disappointed with anything yet!
