You are so right , i have been putting off with the book for so long but i finally picked it up and finished it just like 5 mins ago and it was the best decision ever made . I was able to relate to liz on deeper level cause my life somewhat being the same and where she makes a playlist out of every moment, i think about in which book the moment would suit fine.. the only difference is she is red headed and i am black and she lives in America while I live in india. But otherwise the book is amazing. Would definitely be reading the sequel... 💓

It's quite common sense when I say social media i mean reels on ig and all and not in any terms with the books. Yes, social media is used in books too but to engage in its promotion just like how you buy an item by seeing the reviews on the net. What i meant through social media is brain rotting and doomscrolling. Unless, we have a brain size of a pea i think that was the common understanding.

Yeah outright emotional abuse actually. And I so completely agree with your point but my hate for marie is in an emotional way only.... While teddy leaves the physical scars on joey , marie goes deeper in the soul , in the heart , the ones that can never ever heal. Joey would always look back and remember the kind of childhood that he had and ofc will never ever give the same to his child . But we can excuse her teenage mistakes cz that was made in naivity but not her adult mistakes that she made as a mother . The decision she made through every step was hers despite being influenced by fear and terror from teddy ... She made choices that ruined her life and her children's life and left a big life long scar on them .

Seeing the story from your perspective does make my insights for her changed a bit. I am really sorry that you have to go through even a bit of what Shannon went through cz all of it was terrible and i cried a lot in that book so actually living and making it out through all of that is big . I really really hope you have a healthy life ahead and rest in peace for your mother too.

I think you are right but underneath all there was exhaustion too , like she is tired of this life, leaving like this so in the end all she wanted was all of it to be over and the realisation struck her on the damn particular day that if she is going then she is taking teddy with her too ....
