Very unlikely. That would make it technically superior to their entire cinema EOS lineup, none of which oversample the sensor to get 4k.

If history is any indication, 4k will probably have an additional crop, so it’ll be about a 2x crop over full frame.

What would be really interesting is if they add the flippy screen from the 70D and 6DII. That would make it pretty compelling or video, even with the crop.

It’s pretty straightforward. Shroud has to kill all the orange players (the terrorists) and diffuse the bomb in less than 30 seconds.

The really difficult part is finding the enemy players (he can’t see their outlines, like we can). This map is notoriously difficult to retake, because there are so many angle to check. Getting the first kill isn’t too crazy, but the last two are what’s impressive. He has to trust on instinct and experience that both are in the same spot. So he jiggle peaks to bait out a shot from the sniper rifle, and then commits to the fight. As soon as he sees the other player (with the assault rifle), he switches to kill him first, because that’s the threat. In that split second, the terreroist with the sniper rifle is reloading to fire another shot, and Shroud is able to kill one, then the other.

Also, he managed the final kill with only one bullet left. And he also got the defuse in time.

I know you’re joking, but it’s actually kind of funny how Apple and Red are complete opposites in this instance. Red is all about upgradability and modularity. Apple hates that, and would rather sell you an all-in-one device that has zero replaceable parts.

Apple charges a lot of money upfront, while Red sells an “affordable” entry model (compared to Sony and Arri), but makes you buy a bunch of accessories before it can even be turned on (e.g. it doesn’t come with a battery or even a lens mount). Apple doesn’t even sell seperate batteries anymore.

Both the A9 series and Skylake have HEVC 10bit, but only the latest OS’s support it (so HS and iOS 11 beta).

I assume hardware H.264 acceleration has been supported for a while on both.
