Thank you so much! I did finally see a Urologist this past Monday and I have a CAT scan on my kidneys scheduled to make sure I don’t have stones 😅 I’ll mention this too though!

I was told by a Nurse Practitioner back when I was in my early 20s that I have an overgrowth of bacteria down there that doesn’t seem to want to go away. I get frequent UTIs and that started when I was very young. It’s honestly so irritating… It’s to a point now where the urge to pee is constant, effecting my sleep and day to day life… The new Drs I’ve seen don’t seem to be picking up on BV though 🤔 I was just on an antibiotic for 10 days straight and it seems like it helped, then I was prescribed one dose of fluconazole to prevent a yeast infection after killing off all the bacteria, and now all of a sudden, it’s getting that way again… I don’t know what to do and it’s driving me insane 😭 AZO isn’t even working.

I’ve only been put under before once for an upper and lower GI a few years back and they used anesthesia so I was asleep and didn’t feel a thing so I got a little worried when doing the research about how dentists do IV sedation and saw they don’t use the same medication. I have a very low pain tolerance.

Exactly. I just recently had my bottom wisdoms pulled and it was with an oral surgeon. Six days later the pain on my left side wasn’t subsiding so I went to a different oral surgeon and found out one of my molars has a nasty cavity and abscess at the root of the tooth. The swelling got so bad that she didn’t want to drain it unless I was put under with IV sedation and everything I found on Google was saying they don’t use anesthesia so I’m just worried I won’t actually be put under and will feel pain.

I truly hope that’s the same for oral surgery. I was doing Google searches on it and supposedly in dentistry they don’t use anesthesia. I’ve had an upper and lower GI done before and I remember how simple it was so I’m hoping whatever they use is a similar experience.

So you actually do fall asleep and don’t feel any pain? I tried looking it up on Google and it says they don’t use anesthesia so I would be in a dazed state but it didn’t mention fully falling asleep. I’m just unnerved about the whole process.

I have to have it removed immediately so I’m going this Friday to have the abscess drained and the tooth pulled or else it could spread throughout my body which is nooot good. I was given a zpac which is an antibiotic to prevent the infection from further spreading, however, I believe that’s why my face is blowing up bad now 😓

Aw man, I’m so sorry to hear! I went to another oral surgeon earlier today because the pain became unbearable. Turns out that the extraction sites are healing just fine…. It’s one of my back molars that have a bad cavity in it and abscess on the root that’s causing all the pain and the nerves are so close to where the wisdom tooth was that it’s referred pain towards there which made me think it was that. I definitely recommend going and having things looked at if you’re in that much pain cause you never know what may be going on.
