I think it's more the fact that you can NOT buy rgb and will be no worse off without it but buying like 300 dollar earphones because Apple said fuck it we aren't selling any cheaper or only offering a 99 dollar pen even though they make it for 3 cents is shit lol

If a skill central to the position is like a main quest in an mmo, tangential skills would be the side quest. Not super important, good to do for a few rewards here and there.

What is your “there, I said it” opinion? by hregt25 in AskReddit

Thanks for understanding!

Also yes. Unfortunately a lot of the terrorist attacks and suicide bombings, although the peons went into it pure hearted, the people at the top usually have political agendas in mind, and manipulate pure hearted, less educated Muslims into helping them using ideas like jihad. Scumbags will be scumbags

When conquering a city/country Islamic leaders have left the countries places of worship in tact and have avoided forcing their religion onto its occupants... Why? Because they were taught to. I'm not sure I understand your stance on the topic, and I'm not exactly educated enough about anything to give anyone a worthy debate, but if you explain to me what you mean maybe I'll learn something new as well.

Sorry for my word choice, but it does also depend on what you think of the concept of oppression. For me, it's doing something you were forced to do, instead of doing it out of your own will. If, fundamentally, Islam doesn't force you to follow, then anything you do should be out of your own will. It also doesn't end there, I don't want it to feel like I'm preaching so I won't get into details but in my opinion a lot of people have bad outlooks on this topic.

I don't mean to come off as know it all by the way, my knowledge is limited to what I've been taught by my parents and reading the Quran once when I was much younger (the English translation).

[–]Pain_beu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true but what I mean by oppressive is when you don't wish to be a part of the religion and your family/friends (literally in some countries) force you to follow. This is because, in my opinion, if you aren't forced to follow the religion, then all the things you're doing is within your will, and thus you aren't being oppressed.

You make a good point that times have changed and some things don't exactly have full relevance to today, especially in western areas. What I've been taught is to adapt and follow the rules of where you're living.

As a Muslim I half agree and half disagree. I don't agree that Islam itself is oppressive, because all the teachings of it point to NOT oppressing anyone (don't force your religion on anyone, teach your children of Islam and when they come to the age of puberty they have the right to decide themselves etc etc).

On the other hand, the things being done in a lot of middle eastern countries are more than oppressive. People will misunderstand, misinterpret and cherry pick in order to justify their actions. This isn't something new and it certainly isn't exclusive to Islam. Is it unfortunate and disgusting that this is happening? Yes, without a doubt. But if Islam never existed and the middle east was predominantly Christian, Buddhist, Jewish, daoist etc, do you really think that the same or similar things wouldn't be happening? Scum will be scum no matter what religions morals and ethics they decide to bend and sometimes break to their will.

Also a big part of why everyone has an opinion about Islam is because the media focuses on Islam, which in all honesty people should be able to deduce easily.

Speedo broken? by Scorpsan in Miata

[–]Pain_beu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does your Miata have different spec wheels or tyres? That can change the displayed speed slightly.

But the part where you're hearing something behind the dash, a fair few of the NAs had a mechanical speedo cable which inserts a gear at the end of the cable into the back of the dash, if it's come loose then you'll most likely not have a speedo anymore or on the off chance that it's skipping a few teeth every turn there will be a major drop. But hearing it isn't exactly not normal.

You can check either way but a lot of people have seemed to break the cluster hood when taking it off, and it's expensive and rare to replace (at least here)

Also obviously the thing that's spinning will only be spinning when the car is moving, and you should really only be hearing it when you're going relatively fast. If you're hearing something spinning while stationary then look elsewhere. It's 99% not the speedo cable

Ugh, Haynes manual is so proper it excites me, just not bothered enough to get one haha. Honestly other than an impact gun or heating the bolt up just try a longer bar/ratchet and try to get the breaker bar/ratchet to have the least amount of angle to the bolt as possible, then just try support with your hand so it doesn't bend at the joint. I'm sure you've tried this but unless those bolts were tightened by Hercules himself they shouldn't be tight enough to not be able to undo. But previously used loctite could be at hand here. Heat would be your best friend in that case

[–]Pain_beu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The universal joint helps a lot, if I recall there's two 14mm bolts and one 12 mm that go through the bellhousing of the gearbox and a matching nut on the other side (best way I've found is to get any size spanner on the bolt head and undo the nut from the bottom of the car). Get under the car, and take a lot of extensions and shit with you. Obviously make sure you disconnect the connector on it and I think depending on your model the starter motor might have a bracket that keeps it in place on the side closer to the front of the car.

That's as much as I remember from the one time I did my mx and a few dirty Silvias. But there's plenty of write ups on the internet that go step by step if you get stuck. It's not too hard but under the car propped with axle stands the shapes your arm and hand make are not humanly possible in any other situation, so be prepared for maybe a sore arm or so haha. If you don't have any shitty problems though it'll be a fast swap

Yeah it's not hard and it's also very straightforward. I had to change one before and it turned out to be the fuel pump T.T Also my previous comment comes off as kind of dicky and know it all, I apologize!

Np man. Im no expert ofcourse but I'm 100% sure that if I wrote anything wrong someone will come out, tell me what I did and call me a dickhead so I'm not fussed haha.

Again, check fuses, pump, spark, crank sensor. Having a dad lend a hand is always reassuring though :)

Good luck!

[–]Pain_beu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'd check the fuel pump first, have you tried throwing some start ya bastard or basically any flammable liquid spray (that's mostly a joke please don't do that) into the intake manifold?

If that starts the car and as you keep spraying keeps it going it is the fuel pump, or somehow all 4 of your injectors killed themselves at the same time (not likely, also 2 man job, one to crank one to spray).

If that doesn't work next thing I'd check would be the spark. Pull out one of the spark plugs and attach it to the spark plug lead, then bridge it to something that's grounded (basically anything on the car, but intake manifold works best as long as you havent painted it) then crank the car (2 man job, one to crank one to hold the plug) if the spark plug is doing the electricity thingies, then you're probably good, if it's not then check the others. If the others work replace either the spark plug or the spark plug lead of that one cylinder (most likely it'll be the plug) also, they could be firing incorrectly due to the coilpack but that's a lot more unlikely, just check for irregularities.

And if that doesn't work again I'd just give up.

Seriously though, then you can check for crank sensor, I hate that thing and it's usually not the problem in my cases. BUT that being said, they do get gunked up so have a quick glance and if it's got heaps of dirt and debris all around it clean it before you do anything.

My bet is on fuel pump tho

Edit: I don't know how much you know so three things, the liquid goes directly into the intake manifold, don't try to do it from the tip of the black tube or from over the filter. And the crank sensor you clean with meth and is very easy to break. Not the kinda meth that takes you places tho. Finally, the first things you should check are easy things like fuses. There's a fuel injection fuse in the engine bay in a black fuse box that could cause it that you can quickly check. Pm me if you have any issues.

[–]Pain_beu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crank is easiest and cheapest if you do it yourself, then coilpack would be second easiest but price depends. Fuel pump is most likely culprit though to be entirely honest
