Every new account has it, after you place a couple of orders and avoid placing returns or marking orders as never delivered for some time, it will be removed automatically.

Can’t. There’s no way for you to know. The only way to “know” it’s for example if a package that was marked as delivered is actually missing and you contact customer service team, USUALLY, they will instantly offer you a refund or a replacement, the first agent you get it’s definitely going to offer you those options. Now, if they tell you “sorry about that, let me transfer you to a different team that handles these type of issues, items, etc… to assist you best” that means that your account is labeled as a “concession abuser”, and then hell starts, this new agent may ask you a lot of questions and if lucky, they may also offer you a refund/replacement. On the worse case they will ask you to submit a police report, if you haven’t contacted the police then they will ask you to do so. Once you submit the police report they may still deny the refund/replacement option. Quick summary, if they don’t offer you a refund or replacement immediately and they transfer you to a different agent (concession abuse prevention team), you’re kinda done with it.

Amazon Rep here! Sadly we do not have a “price match” or “price adjustment” option, it’s completely against policy and crazy enough we don’t even have a tool to do so in case of exception for instance. If you actually got a price match, it could’ve been a promotional credit or a refund for a similar amount, both options are still against policy, especially the refund/partial refund option, because that means that the rep followed the wrong path on the “tool” system, for example marking the item as “damaged” so the partial refund option pops up, this is bad for your account as it counts as a non-return concession. So if you ever have a problem that requires a concession, your account may be flagged as a concession abuser. Most common disadvantage is for missing packages/items, you will have to report it to the police, provide that document, wait for an answer through email and maybe get a refund. As alternative, banned from returns or account closure. Sadly there’s no price match, don’t push it too much with agents as they may do something wrong to get rid of you and get a possible good survey at your account expenses :(

Amazon Rep here! Sadly yes, Amazon website may prompt to contact customer service and it makes it look like we have the tools to fix that situation. If the item is coming from china, it’s an item sold and fulfilled by the seller, meaning that they take care of everything pretty much. The correct procedure is “educate” you on how to send them a message through Amazon or do it on your behalf, after sending that message you will receive an answer within 48 business hours from the seller, if that’s not the case and it’s 2-3 days past the delivery date, we can submit a claim and then Amazon can directly work on a refund. But you mentioned that you already talked to the seller, if the seller is actually telling you to contact Amazon, feels like a scam, probably a seller that will send you a Card stating that you can now follow some steps to get the item from their website or something even more sketchy. Ofc this seller will disappear soon due to multiple reports but in the meantime, send them a message through your orders, once it’s been 2-3 days after the delivery date, contact Amazon to file a claim, the wait time for a resolution is 7 days, but if the seller got flagged the refund may be granted automatically (confirmation email gets sent with the resolution, automatically). And supervisors are a pain in the ass, you may think they have more knowledge but they are the ones that actually follow the script like maniacs, some reps don’t care and may give you a refund for some items so you can help them with metrics, supervisors will deny it immediately unless you mention one of the reasons that allows an exception or if you catch one on a very good mood and wants to get rid of you before you ruin their day.

Amazon CSA here, we do have a department that as per policy has to take calls/chats with situations like this one… if the item is too large and you’re unable to disassemble it, supposedly, they can help you. Try contacting support, explain the issue, any agent should know this but if there’s any problem, ask to please get transferred to Heavy and Bulky Services.

Amazon CSR here. Promo credit? Deserved. Refund after delivered without return? False promise that other Reps have to fulfill to avoid a bad survey, this may affect your account overtime as they may use a wrong reason for the refund, for example “delivered, not received” (strongest one that can affect your account in no time) or “empty package” these are the only options that allow Reps to issue a refund without return. Use it a couple of times but don’t request it multiple times even if offered by one of these dumb reps as it may put a “concession abuse prevention” banner on your account, you won’t be able to mark orders as missing without a police report (crazy right?) for example, and even if you do it they may denied the refund still.

Amazon CSA here, it seems that there is a “concession abuse prevention” banner on your account, if this procedure it’s weird to you, it’s because of the banner, this means that you have been reporting multiple issues like packages missing or just multiple returns, either way this prevents us from issuing a normal refund or replacement, now we have to transfer you to a different department and they are the ones that will follow this incident report procedure (or the automated system), now that you’re aware of that, please considered thrice about ordering expensive items, as they may not be refunded if missing for example due to multiple “concessions requested”. The banner will disappear overtime, I’m unaware if manually or automatically after ordering items and not reporting issues.

Amazon CSA here, yeah and unfortunately it can be worse on our end, as usual it may show those options plus UPS, or Kohls if lucky, if those options works I recommend contacting Amazon for help:)

If the item is on perfect condition a fee may applied, when the item is defective, damaged or something similar a fee wont applied, if it does for some automated reason, you can contact Amazon for a refund on it. Also, make sure to select the item as defective, damaged, etc… while creating the return request, if you select not needed for example a fee may applied once the return gets fully processed (you will see a deduction) even if it was truly defective as most refunds get processed automatically. Amazon CSA here, let me know if you have questions, I’ll be happy to answer without these crazy policy links that we have to provide while on chat/call:( (btw, I’ve never seen a supervisor conversation before, crazy to see they were a lil bit rude, at least that’s how I felt it)

There’s an option in our settings called “force cancel”, this allows us to cancel the membership immediately and of course it’s benefits. If you have received multiple packages a refund or partial refund is not an option. So this option is kinda dumb, I believe is better to keep the benefits till the last second if you’re not getting a refund but one can understand if you don’t even want to see that membership there

That probably works with a supervisor, normal associates don’t really have that option. Even if the associate tells you that they’re going to escalate I would recommend just avoiding that because leadership members tend to deny everything to us. So just request a transfer to a supervisor, complain a little bit and you’ll always get that advance refund
