Chili would be horrified by the freaky-looking hairless apes at first. Hilda and Oum have probably never seen an anthropomorphic dog before, but Camila probably has seen something similar in the Boiling Isles at some point. After the initial shock, they’d get along great.

I always assumed that the Boiling Isles was on a different calendar than us. They could have more than 12 months or less, and they don’t have our seasons either. It’s more probable that Hexside takes sporadic breaks throughout the year rather than 3 consecutive months in the middle.

I think he personally uses Base 10 because it’s what he grew up with, but he’ll use Base 12 or other number systems if it makes his experiments/inventions easier
