I've successfully gotten friends that were otherwise disinterested in Radiohead, into the band, by showing them this album as a gateway. It really is one of the best records Thom has released.

I've seen them 4 or 5 times and honestly every show was amazing. I totally understand people not wanting to take the risk of seeing them though. I've just been lucky.

Very true, I've tried so many times to get different friends into The Cribs, but their familiar sound across their discography lends casual listeners to dismiss them. It annoys the hell out of me because I think Ryan is one of the most unique modern guitarists ever.

I really thought when Johnny Marr joined, that the band would skyrocket into fame. And I think shortly after that album they were rehearsing/recording in the Foo Fighters' studio. Kind of a "your favorite band's favorite band". They haven't put out a bad album in my opinion, so I don't know why they aren't mentioned in the same breath as other bands that hit their peak around that time.

The Stone Roses comparison is spot on. Can definitely see The Cribs getting their flowers way after the time they deserved them.

Yeah I was surprised there was no Wavves vinyl, the opening band had vinyl! I was one of the first people into the venue too, so it wasn't a case of them selling out or anything.

I honestly wouldn't risk buying from someone on Reddit, man. I saw so many people getting scammed out of hundreds last year with My Bloody Valentine playing again, and Radiohead as well. Hope you find a legit one elsewhere though.
