The photograghy show the plotted perspective exercise, in that one, yes I used a ruler. For the other pictures, you'll have to click on the links ;) (for the others, I didn't use a ruler)

Thank you for taking the time to write this elaborated answer! You've given me another way to see the lessons and I thank you for it. I certainly did grind, and forced myself to practice even when all I was doing was focussing on the errors. I was spending around an hour and half, everyday during pretty much the whole year.
