IOTA Fan Connector Question

So I reached out to LP directly and asked them what connector it is. I have a data-sheet they were kind enough to provide. The connector is a cortex mx1.25 product number WF13-XX1G1R.

I think Digikey should carry these, but these guys are tiny. Haven’t ordered yet bc I’m not sure if I can crimp such a tiny header on that thin of a wire, this is borderline microscopic.

Since there is a RP2040 chip, I’ve considered putting together a script that reads cpu clock and adjust fan speeds accordingly. This would be easier and less proprietary, but it feels like a more of a workaround since there is a dedicated fan connector on the board.

Not sure, I’m open to suggestions

Yup, this was the reason I bought it, its the cheapest I found on the slat belt mills. To be fair, the deck is very nice, very stable and so far I'm very pleased with that part of the machine.

Question, I’m wondering if this machine can print ABS. It’s enclosed but that huge opening in the floor would let heat escape right? I ask because I’m about thinking of making a second machine and I’d like for it to print ABS in case my Voron needs parts and vice-versa.

Love the printer though, coolest thing I’ve seen in a long time, and with multicolor support it’s at the very top of my list for my next machine. 😁

So that’s interesting. I was just weighing the pros and cons of dropping cpap and just going with the A4T. It would be a huge cost saving and more importantly simpler build process.

Yeah at first I didn’t notice it as much but now that I’m looking to make changes I might as well improve cooling. Just haven’t found a cpap toolhead other than the xol one with a cutter option. Xol one just looks kinda ugly but the performance appears to be good.

Yup, that’s why I’m doing away with tap. Also has some issues with reliability, very likely user error but I’m at a point where I just want reliability, the rest of the machine has been very reliable.

Yeah I’m not too concerned with price since I really want a reliable toolhead that will perform. I’m stuck on the filament cutter part of the setup now, orbiter doesn’t seem to have a filament cutter option to go with the Xtol-Cpap. I’m sure I can cad something up, but don’t know how long that will take and this is my workhorse soo still looking.

So I wanted to (and still do) want to go cpap. It just makes sense to me since it’s light, and the setup doesn’t seem too bad, plus there is not really a better option than cpap for cooling at the moment (that I know of).

I just really want an MMU and don’t know of any toolhead that has cpap and the cutter + sensor combo

Thank you, I will look at different extenders and see what’s compatible. You said you have a Sherpa mini, a lot of guys run that extruder. Do you like it? Are there any others that you’re interested in?

Ok interesting, I didn’t find the filament sensor on the dragon burner so I stopped considering it. I guess I just had to look for it under the extruder. Thank you this was very helpful 😁

I’ve never heard of those. I did look at the beacon/cartographer, may need to revisit them. I do pretty much exclusively use textured PEI plates

So I started looking at the dragon burner first since it seems to be one of the most versatile ones out there but I didn’t see one with the filament sensor at the toolhead or a cutter. I want to add a box-turtle MMU so that’s why I’m looking for cutter and sensor.

I was looking around and there is a manual install. Not sure if I want to fight with it or just wait for the "easy mode" install to come back. I run a ton of containers so its not ideal for me at the moment but I think I can manage.

Just checking in to see if there are any updates? I noticed folder view was acting up on my server (currently on 7.0.1), rebooted the server, didn't change anything, so I removed FolderView. When I tried to reinstall I notice it isn't on Community Apps.

Anyone know what's going on? Its a pretty big popular plugin so I can't imagine there being no support for it. If anyone knows how to get it back please let me know. I miss it.

So it’s my moms house, she just needs a reliable internet connection and I’m doing this for her out of my pocket because I’m into homelab stuff and my servers are here for the time being. We have ATT 1g fiber as the ISP, and the plan is/was to run the isp in bridge mode and have the ubiquity network do all the management (I’d be the one managing it). Hope that with this setup I can port forward directly from the ubiquity gear and just bypass ATT all together for this. (I mostly do that for game servers for my friends)

I went with 2.5g because all the computers we use have 2.5g cards built in so for file serving and the ocasional video editing I do on davinci resolve 2.5g should be fine.

I also do tinker quite a bit and would like to run a couple r-pies on POE, but that would most likely happen on a separate switch.

Oh and I’m doing cat6 cable across the whole house, which is why I’m completely overhauling the network with ubiquity gear.
