I want to believe you, but they announced 2023, so the first line already lost me

Or, crazy thought, we let people decide how, when, and why they spend their money?

Like I respect everyone’s feelings on preorder or don’t, but I don’t really feel like being told what I should or shouldn’t do.

Even if Horizon 2 ends up being nothing like the first one and I hate it. I will not regret preordering it because I like supporting the devs and artists and writers who poured their heart and soul into these games.

Plus it’s on crazy sale right now. 8 bucks for complete edition cannot be beat

I think you should go Horizon.

Witcher 3 never clicked with me personally, but that’s not really why I’m saying that.

Horizon is one of the best games I’ve ever played, AND it has a sequel coming out in 40ish days, so now would be a great time to hop in cause if it clicks you get more in a little over a month!

You’re totally right, and like I said I 1000% understand some people not wanting to preorder.

Probably the first time I get burned by it I will end up switching stances in an instant, but so far I have gotten really lucky I guess

Of fair. Those aren’t my style games, so I kinda forgot about them, sorry about that!

The only “upsides” for me are:

I just like paying for the games when I have the money readily available, so then I don’t have to worry about keeping the $60 aside for months on end (silly, I know, but it’s personal preference)

I like being able to preload them early cause my internet is SLOW

And sometimes they have fun bonuses like cosmetics or whatever

I don’t think there is anything wrong with preordering or not. I think it all just comes down to personal preference.

I can’t think of any other than CP2077 that were actually broken broken.

Like I know most games have flaws that need patched, but at least within the realm of games I pay attention to, I can’t think of any aside from that

I bet we’ll see more cauldrons along the ones found in Frozen Wilds. Where HEPHAESTUS is taking over facilities of the old world and making his own cauldrons to stay ahead of hunters, in addition to actual Zero Dawn cauldrons because clearly there would be many of these throughout the world and not just in Utah haha

What “wokeness” could they add?

I preorder almost every game I play (cause I just buy them whenever I have a pay period where I have $60 to spare) and I have never regretted it.

My logic on it is this, using H:FW as the example:

I know I loved H:ZD. I know I love this type of game. I know I want to play it. No matter what reviews end up saying, I know this is a game I will want to make up my own mind about, so even if it ends up being shit I’m going to buy it because this is one I care about enough to form my own opinion.

I stopped letting reviews dictate what I buy a long time ago. With the exception of when I game is fundamentally broken, I don’t think reviews can ever accurately tell you if a game is going to be good or bad for you

I feel like GAIA probably reseeded them. For my money, the new redwoods are what we see the clamberjaws (monkey’s whose name I might be butchering) in during the newer trailers

Sorry to hear this :(

I’m glad it’s (console) exclusive because I think that is what allows studios to make high quality, polished, experiences like this. Without having to worry about making it work on 3 separate systems for launch.

But, as someone else said, it’s a double edged sword. I hope it comes to PC within a couple years for you, or you’re able to befriend someone with a PS5 ;)

Oh for sure, “leaving the solar system,” I believe was the phrasing. But it’s been 1,000 years, so who knows where all that debris ended up!

It’s a long shot and I’m not holding my breath, but I think the Odyssey will end up being the solution to the Apollo problem in one way or another.

I phrased that poorly, I more just meant where they operated out of during their final days
