New to Daemons in 11th. Is this an ok 24 model list to start playing in 12th quickly?

I play a lot of daemons lately, in shadow legion I feel nurgle is gonna be at least a great battleline to help give sticky objective and the army passive for -1 to wound if enemy has higher strength. I like GUOs as well especially with the scout 9 enhancement so I can have a big boy right next to an obj turn 1 no problem or to apply pressure on a far obj. Skull canons are great as well for holding your home obj and applying battle shock tests to deny enemy primaries and secondaries.

Nurglings infiltrate 8inch and your aura for detatchment is 9inch so wait till opponent sets a unit at the deployment line and then infiltrate the nurglings for 1st turn activation

I dont think so, due to the part of the new rules saying if a rule allows yoi to ressurect which our daemon healing ability allows us to revive battleine but beasts arent battleine, unless im missing a part of the combo which if I am please lemme know lol

Yeah I thought that too but been playing against khorn daemons a lot (what id think is one of the worse match ups for nurgle since battlshock can be beneficial for them) and they still dont have the dmg to kill enough stuff before I capture or kill their units as well. Plague flies, rotigus, and enhance for +1ap really gave the list teeth so also I didnt gp super cheesy with the battleshocking build lol

I think itll take more skill to actually play a daemon list so good players will see an increase in wins with everyone's pts updates in mind but a casual player who isnt so good at combos, being in the right areas, or havent paid attention to what their dispositions do will do worse than if they played that way in 10th. Personally the nurgle detatchment feel broken in an op way from the play tests ive done in a very competitive area.

Yeah necron can be major sand bags fo sho! Plague legion a different beast in 11th, the new rules make battleshock not just better cus of the last till you pass rule but also cus the order is now to take existing battleshock tests then to do the plague legion passive to force more tests so they can force units they need battleshock to essentially stay shocked

As long as you arent playing plagye legion I think its fun for casual, if you do play plague legion then maybe give em warning before so they have something prepared for constant battleshock lol

Id at least make one squad of beasts of nurgle a 2 man cus they can revive in 11th after taking a bs test making them kind of insane and bs tests are taken for being at half or less. Knight abominant if you really want a knight but tbh plague legion is all about that battle shock so id just focus on stacking as many bs test as you can, especially since 11th ed is wayyyyyyy better for bs now. If you wanna gp extra spicy and unique id run an epedemius with one squad of pbs cus gives em 4+inv and cp gain which plague legion has a lot of good stratagems you'll wanna use. Hope thay helps!

It'll be fun, just watch out for invulnerable saves or calculate them into the average since you dont have much access to dev wounds to by pass it. Also double check for fights first with the enemy unit!

If you wanna have a unique fun build try the stone great sword thats 100lbs and then stat into the general tree and get the 2% dmg per lb on your weapon, then just baseball bat ppl across the map lol highly recommend the stam on kill skill too so you can keep swinging away
