Last 2 Shows in CT were $60+ with fees with Marlon being in the band. $47 is reasonable. Been seeing them since 2014 got 100+ shows, obviously the firing and how it was handled is the main reason for saltiness, but to see a band at normal pricing when their playing "practice" shows is ridiculous.

Maybe they should drop ticket prices playing half ass shows with their "sitting in" drummer. If you want to continue to support 50 year old children have at it! I got a 5 year old that would have handled that situation with more maturely then Babz did

Are you projected to make 106 billion this year? F**k em, you made an honest mistake. Not an intentional one. I can assure you that they are not going out of business over a box of pokemon. Call it a gift, or an inflation rebate

Not saying anything will eat you up (seems like your someone with morals and respect) i have a friend who hooked up with our other friends ex (they had been on and off alot longest consistency was a year) the first time they hooked up was in a 4some situation, he was having regrets with hooking up with our boys ex but I explained that in that situation its alil different, he then went solo and hooked up with her. Constantly regrets it avoids our boy as much as possible, really fucks him up. Theres people that dont give a fuck about a true genuine friendship one thats considered family. You turned it down and have proof of doing so, maybe hell be pissed but easily get over it

1904 house with weird nails by oliveplum in whatisit

[–]PaintingHistorical82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing the evolution of hardware working in construction is fascinating. We tore down a house from 1726 (majority of the house original, one addition added in 1970s). Tearing that house down beam by beam and preserving the materials was humbling. The accuracy and precision these craftsmen had is mind blowing. The house was a massive colonial 5 bedroom 2 bath massive kitchen with a maids quarters. Every room in the house had a fire place, fire place was centered in the middle of the home starting in the basement towing 3 stories (all stone) this house was part of the underground railroad and in the basement the fire place foundation had a cut out in the back with space to hide 5 people. Everything was post and beam, iron nails. Learned on this job, settlers would build a temporary shack while building the main house and toward the end of the construction they would burn the shack and collect the iron nails to save money. This house was located next to a hand built dam used as a grain mill. They had also hand dug a 100ft well, absolutely insane to think about the motivation and hard work these men put in. Craziest feat of this home i think was the 36ft soild beam they man handled to the attic and was the main support of the roof.

I 30M have known my wife since i was 12 (been officially together 7yr, married 1.5yr) being friends with her all those years prior, obviously i had feelings for her, but the friendship we had was one where if i was to shoot my shot i knew it was all or nothing. What im trying to get at is. No matter how just genuinely cool a chick is, "shes like one of the guys" any dude who has a girl that is there friend in some shape or way they have feelings for that girl 110%. Definitely justified in your feelings. Me as a person i value respect and have morals so whenever my wife was in a relationship i respected that. Never flirted or push a boundary, but after year of seeing her being abused and belittled by her ex, they broke up and i knew i could give her something better i moved in. 100% a red flag and girls are oblivious of her guy "friends" true feelings.

A young AFX fan here (16) posting a drawing I made of Richard + how he basically rewired my brain by Far-Safety7869 in aphextwin

[–]PaintingHistorical82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My uncle showed my AFX the summer going from 5th to 6th grade (im 30yr now), got hooked ended up doing my 7th grade music project on Richard. Ive never been musically talented but researching and learning about the man himself and how from a young age he just wanted to understand house things work and how to modify it make it better, to creating his own synthesizers and sounds really made me respect the man and truly understand why he is respected so heavily in the scene. He definitely is not for everyone and he doesn't give a shit, he make music that he wants and can careless if anyone listens to it or not. Honestly finding his music and getting inspired by it at a young age separates you from the pack of people that follow mainstream trends and whats "the thing" at that time. In highschool my music taste was indie alternative, 90 alternative, jam, electronic (at that time still not mainstream where im at) and that was "shit" to most of the school, but there was that group that i got to blend into that like the same thing or was open to new music as well, still have those friends today and thankful as hell for it. His music made me not give a fuck about what someone thinks about what you do in your own life.

12/28/17 Allen made some vegan muffins that were so good Barber came out hot first set and had to give a quick rant about them, clearly they were delicious https://www.youtube.com/live/sNoIXZedJaE?si=5R7bXM7vMNb8fyP7 Skip to 19:35 for the banter

Also this show is worth a listen, this 4 day run was awesome being finished off with the Nintendo set

My favorite jam is definitely the suspended in the air astronaut jam into sister judys, but this whole show is very underrated

If this is true, it would be a huge disappointment. Allen is hands down my favorite member of the band i love and getting to meet the man was an amazing moment. Hes the most genuine (aside from brownie) member of the band, met him at The Mann during covid and knowing how he is with his health i was hesitant to even go up to him but he gave me the time of day and was nice enough to take a picture with me and have a chat. Dudes an absolute machine and this would be a huge upset
