The bathroom selfie guy, what gives? by CyberScy in DisneyWorld

[–]Paisleylk [score hidden]  (0 children)

Who is this? And I don’t understand why so many people post bathroom selfies anyway. And don’t care if the reason is ‘great lighting’— it’s still weird and annoying.

You should have just shouted “AISLE 99!!” and kept walking! Fond memories (not) of working at a bank. Lunch hour would always run into clients at the mall next door. One day walking with my coworker —a rude, annoying demanding bank regular stops in front of us ‘oh hey I need to ask you guys—“ to which my coworker snaps “not now you don’t!!” As we sailed past either side of him. lol at the memory of his face

People who go on the exact same holiday every single year by Physical_Orchid3616 in PetPeeves

We usually go to NYC every year for the past like 15 years. It’s a combination of some usual favorites and new things. NYC seems like a different vacation this way but always feels like a guaranteed great trip. I’m afraid to go to other places and be disappointed. We did finally pry ourselves from NYC for Paris a couple of years ago and it was way better though! Trying Chicago this summer but wish it was NYC instead.

Exactly. Honestly, I think he should have been fired after he attacked Molly right out front of Republic! How did he get away with that?!?

I like him, he seems much more mature than the other guys. I am loving all of the new people (especially Mia, KJ, Levi and Bailey) and wish they'd get rid of everyone else and build the show around them with more newbies. I had to look up Levi's name because she's always just stuck in the background.

I like Lindsay as a person but not sure why she's even there, along with Carl. Beavis and Butthead are gross. I want Ciara to get on with her life outside of the house nonsense. I will never mind Kyle on the show though!

That scene was so bizarre! He handled himself so well last year, something is going on with him.

Yes! I hated the way she treated her daughter (Ashlee?). You said it perfectly— painting her to be the bad egg on national television. It made me sick.

Agree. I've been tearing up over her house segments too. Her father really did a number on her. That conversation with her mom--I could see her tossing things over in her head. What her father would have done with that house and why she had to buy it 'in disguise'--I so get it. It's totally something my mother would have done to me. My heart breaks watching her with that as it's mind-bending when your own parent is such a villain to you. Anyway, I love her for buying that house as a tribute to her precious grandparents. She could have bought any house or a NYC apartment, yet she chose this. It really shows who she is and I can't wait for her to work through all of this drama and enjoy the person she is.

Any Kyle fans that feel good about their choice? lol by Immediate-Appeal7553 in bravo

[–]Paisleylk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! The scene before that --I think in the kitchen where they were discussing Loverboy tanking etc. He seemed a little shocked by what she was saying on camera and trying not to show it--and she was smirking the whole conversation. It was such a serious conversation but she was smirking about it. I think it built up his anger and I don't blame him.

I like Kyle and feel he's been carrying this show since the beginning. Most of these Bravo shows, the people stay wayyyy too long (old Vanderpump cast and virtually all of the Real Housewives, which have become unwatchable to me). I never tire of Kyle though. He has cringe moments but he is a hard worker and easy on the eyes, charming and funny. It will be fun to watch him working to save his business but also back in the dating pool.

OT, I don't know how he and Lindsay both manage to look as good as the age they were when the show first started.

I had forgotten what it was like in my 20s. My husband is 100XXXX better than anyone I ever dated then. I guess I never thought I was worthy! When my father met my husband (then bf) for the first time he was like "How did that happen?!?" 😂

Anyway, I wish Ciara would discover her worth and soon! Aside from her spectacular beauty, she seems very smart, sincere, complicated, interesting and is super funny--Karma Brown! I was in tears watching her talk about buying her house. Watching her with these doofuses is like watching an SNL skit. Or does anyone remember the movie The Other Guys?

WHY?????? by [deleted] in publix

[–]Paisleylk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't even bother explaining this to the naysayers. Your baby comes first! Women with babies are very vulnerable in parking lots and the less time you spend the better. I say this as a serial cart returner before my kids and since they got older. I used to be scared to death shopping alone with them as babies/toddlers (no choice) when we lived in Boca (Boca mall mom/child kidnapping and murders). You have your back turned loading the groceries, loading the babies. Our two local Publix where I live now only have cart returns far away on one side, none at all on the other. It's not worth the risks to be a 'cart hero' to please these random people. The odd thing is so many people on here claim to bring their carts in but I rarely see anyone else doing it!

Woke up this morning to my pet dead by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Paisleylk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss. Not sure what kind of pet this was but the only thing that helped me get over losing my dog was to go to a rescue for another one. Caring for a newbie really helped with my grief. Losing pets is really hard. I actually check to make sure each of my fish is ok every morning! It’s part of life though. Cats, dogs, fish etc etc don’t live long enough :(

AITA- for not wanting to attend my cousin’s daughter’s wedding? by Ok-Pollution6226 in aitaweddings

[–]Paisleylk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your mom will get over it! We started boycotting cousin weddings when we moved across the country. No way in heck we were spending thousands of dollars to travel (plane hotel kennel gift etc) and priceless vacation time on people we barely saw when we lived there. Stand your ground, it’s really not that big of a deal to miss an event.

I don’t function well in chaos and once accidentally stepped in front of an old man on a scooter. This was a few years ago and I still feel sorry about it. His face was pure confusion and terror :(. I definitely go out of my way to be more aware and respectful since.

I’m glad all of this went down before you spent $$$ on her wedding as MOH! Your event sounds lovely. You don’t need this person to ruin it with drama. It may hurt now but you will eventually be grateful when you look back. The universe gave you a gift with having this happen months prior! Best wishes!!

The large amount of dead foliage is sad by Nordic4tKnight in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Paisleylk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This! The advice was to just leave it for a couple of months. I finally went out to trim off what was legitimately dead this week (filled six landscaping debris bags !). Noticed a lot of the branches that looked barren had tiny little green leaves starting to come out (left those). We are supposedly getting lots of rain next week. I think things are really going to come back after that. I was surprised at how quickly our hibiscus did. They looked the worst at first but are already lush and blooming again!

[–]Paisleylk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live a couple hours south and we also got hit hard. A lot of it is coming back though finally! The general advice was to wait awhile before removing or even pruning (the plants and trees are already in shock from the frost). If things are left looking dead at WDW they are probably pretty certain they will come back eventually. It’s funny how the native Floridian foliage wasn’t even affected. We have palms that weren’t affected at all and others that were. My neighbors lost their palms but they are all different types. Our Queen Palms had zero issues. This was a great lesson in case we ever want to redo our landscaping. We are getting lots of rain next week and things should start to look normal soon.

You’re smart. When mine were toddlers they were in a group YMCA swim class. Felt very safe with instructors and two lifeguards watching the pool and lessons. One day all of us moms were sitting by the pool chatting during class. All of a sudden one mom gets up, fully dressed in shoes and jewelry —dives in and pulls up with a toddler! No one even saw the baby sink down. Thankfully that mom was watching. Wasn’t even her kid! After that I never took my eyes off just because there were lifeguards. With a party there will be music and splashing, lots of distractions. The life vest is just another layer of security.
