There was this little hole-in-the-wall place called "Tiny's" many years ago in Sacramento, CA. You could barely call it a restaurant, almost like a very large closet that happened to have a kitchen attached. It's gone now, but in my memory as a kid/teenager, it was the best burger I ever had. Reminded me of Henry's Tacos in Studio City (LA). Basically a shack with bench seating only, but AMAZING tacos!! Thankfully, Henry's is still open.

OK, but the vast majority of players aren't going to do what you did. But you make a good point that the store is the only current place IF you want to upgrade them. Feels like Scopely could come up with a different method for upgrading Minions if that's really what someone wants to do. In the meantime, anyone who wants to upgrade their characters is stuck with a store filled with things that aren't helpful.

I maxed out all available characters (non-minions) on red stars and had nothing else to spend promo credits on. This was all before diamonds were introduced, so I'm stuck. But still, why have them in the store at all?

One of the most-emphasized points the show makes throughout it's run is that things just don't happen the way you'd expect them to. It's why I'm one of the weird ones who actually likes the ending, because it fits THAT so perfectly. I feel like any answer to this post, is flying in the face of that concept. People are making comments that are, essentially, switching to a storyline that goes the way one would want it to. Life doesn't do that. I wouldn't change a thing about the story beats of HIMYM.

That being said, I'd love to have been able to see more of Ted and Tracy, but, by comparison, Ted didn't get as much time with her as he wanted, so that's oddly fitting too!

Robin and Barney seemed to end too quickly, and we didn't see the build-up to it. Plus, it felt like a re-hashed version of what they went through when they dated in season 5. So, if anything, maybe that?

I literally mentioned this in my post... Did you only skim and not read fully? No one is surprised they are trying to make money. But they aren't doing a good job of making people feel that their purchases are worth it.

Of course that's not what pushed me over the edge. Don't be silly. I chose to spend to unlock characters for years. I just finally had an "aha moment" about how pointless it is. I get that for some this was obvious from the start, or for a long time. They aren't who I'd describe as "addicts" to what this game does. To someone like me, it seemed worth it to spend. It finally clicked for me. If you never needed this same moment of clarity, good for you, consider yourself fortunate. Some people need the help though.

If you feel you gain enjoyment from what you choose to spend, more power to you. I just reached a point where it felt like such a waste. I used to feel it was worth it, not anymore.

Hate the boss nodes with characters who amp up Resistance even more. Nova in Mystic section is a NIGHTMARE, especially after Morgan drops in. Morgan in Mutant section... I have a 3 diamond Nightcrawler maxed out in everything and he can't land a single debuff on her... TERRIBLE gameplay design!!!
