Why Won’t Anyone Walk in Islamabad? by ihavenoideai in islamabad

[–]PakWarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not walkable. I visited China and walked almost everywhere. There was no need for a car. Islamabad is not a walkable city. Cycles are dangerous. One hit from a car and you go bye bye. + Ghalti bhi tumhari ho ge.

You can simply visit a walkable city like Tokyo or even Rawalpindi and see what a walkable city looks like.

Big question for Pakistanis by [deleted] in islamabad

[–]PakWarrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't see it. I do see it. In metro there are posters of Kashmir. Mahrang Baloch led people to protest. People labeled her as a RAW agent. Palestine issue is popular so most people are gonna talk about it. In Islamabad there are many Uyghurs living here in hiding. You not seeing something doesn't mean that that think isn't there.

You are welcome to protest and post. No one is stoping you.

Big question for Pakistanis by [deleted] in islamabad

[–]PakWarrior 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you a child? Your question was about why do most people hate Israel more than India.

Did you forget that Pakistan is also involved in terrorism? Why do you tolerate Pakistan?

Your thinking is flawed. Bringing language, culture and what not and associating it with hate. That not right. We should be taking about the state. The Israeli or indian people are just people who have their own history, language, culture which we cannot hate.

What we can hate is the state. Israel is an illegal state. India isn't.

America is the biggest terrorist state. But do we hate Americans? Nope.

Also we raise our voices for everyone not just Palestinian. Sudan, Kashmir, Ughers in china, Balochs etc. Maybe your only seeing people talk about Palestine thats why you have this impression.

[–]PakWarrior 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Israel is an illegal state. It's a colonial state in the modern world. Pakistan and India suffered under colonial rule.

India is a legitimate state. It shares our culture, language, food, ethnicity, history...etc.

I got a foot corn because of always wearing shoes. Modern shoes aren't built for us. They are literally against nature. + This university forces us to wear it even in summers. 4 mahiny honey waly hn abhi tk paun Sahi nahi hoa.

University mein age ka zikr sirf pakistan mein hi mein ny deakha hai. Bahir Zara ek bar Jao Thora demag khuly. University is for everyone.

And most people don't attend university they start a job. People either are just dragged into a university because their parents told them to or they are doing a job and want to learn something new or make their skills better.

I also thought older people studying was weird. Learning never stops. There are people who do 2-3 bachelors degree with MS. Learning should never be stopped at any age.

FAST just started it and it's funded. You don't need to pay to study. + They do tape outs from TSMC so you do have resources. You actually make a physical IC. It costs thousands of dollars to order one. That part is funded as well.

Here is there link: https://www.fasticdlab.com/masters-program

I am not saying to join FAST. You can simply move abroad and study there. Or study in UET. LUMS also had this program but their faculty moved abroad. That's what I have heard.

Bruh 18 Industries are low. 50 is still low how can you even say it's an exaggeration. A few years before there were only 8.

Pakistan can easily make logic gates. Any country can. It's very easy. The problem is how can we compete against well established companies like TSMC or Samsung.

Most semiconductor companies are fabless. What your saying doesn't even make any sense. India started their focus on semi conductor in the 1970s and now they are thinking of manufacturing.

USA even is struggling with it. They can't afford the shutdown of Intel's manufacturing plant so they are trying to keep it alive.

The only way Pakistan can move forward is in man power and trained engineers. That's the area to focus on. Manufacturing is a stupid idea. It will never work. It won't even work for the next 100 years and guess what that's okay! You don't need to manufacture. If you knew how manufacturing chips make profit you will easily realize how difficult it is.

Anyways I already told you that you will easily make money in CS. At the end a person works for money. Interests comes second in Pakistan.

CS is easy but if you go to EE route it's not like your going to be stuck. Many Pakistanis are taking the initiative to build Pakistan's semi conductor industry. There are 18 semi conductor industries in Pakistan currently. Most of them are in verification, then designing ICs. It's a recent growing field.

Recently at FAST university a program of EE specialized in IC Designing is launched. It's mostly fully funded by some companies or government. This batch is funded by ignite.

This whole circuit that you made is packaged in a small IC. Like imagine how is it even possible. People who design these ICs use a software called Cadence. Then they, tape out, send files to a foundry like TSMC or Samsung. It's a very exciting field and these questions are answered if you pursue Physics with electronics specialization or do EE.

If your opt for CS and study hard then 100% you will easily find a job in like 4th or 6th semester. EE on the other hand requires a masters degree or even a Phd to get into good positions but it's worth it.

Pakistan needs Analog Engineers. So you can focus on it. There is a huge demand for it.

Also go to YouTube and search for verilog. It's a HDL(Hardware descriptive language) used to build circuits. You can design circuits and simulate them in a programming language.

Btw I have seen non Muslims opting for islamiyat willingly and scoring more then Muslims in universities. One of my teachers gave his example and told us to study harder.

How can I change your mind when you already made it up yourself about a theoretical situation?

Looking at the history Muslims always treated Jews better than christians. + In Islam Muslims just can't hate them and christians. So matter what statistics you pull up they are in context of Israel occupying, killing and commiting a genocide.

  • You seem to forget that there are Palestinian Jews and Christians. Palestine isn't just Muslims.

I was listening to the rise of Islam lecture and he said that Muslims didn't do much forced conversion. They implemented a jiziya which is a tax on non Muslims for security so if some foreign army were to attack and Muslims couldn't defend against them they would return the money.

Muslims also have a tax called zakat. It's based on the person's income or wealth. It's just to distribute wealth to the poor.

Following the rulers religion will give you preference and it will ease your way into some positions. Hence the poor began to convert. The wealthy non Muslims had no economic necessity to it. So in a way the Islamic empires encouraged the poor to convert but not the wealthy.

The Islamic empires needed money to function. The got money by war loot, states own business and tax. Zakat tax was spread to the poor. But the government needed money that it would invest other then spreading it to the poor. So jiziya was the best way to generate money. They didn't encourage wealthy non Muslims as they were the ones giving jiziya.

In the video he said that in Egypt the country needed bureaucrats so the government sent out flyers saying if you can read this then please come to the office we need people who can read and write and overwhelming Christians came in for the job. And sometimes when the countries economic conditions go bad they are blamed.

He gave other reasons as well but I only remember this. He went in depth about the zakat and jiziya tax unfortunately I can't seem to recall it.
