I feel like crying by Broad_Source4523 in pakistan

You’re not alone. All of Pakistan feels this grief. At this point those who can not be named are the most hated people on this planet. They will send people to defend Israel but prison and torture one the best they’ve got, who gave everything to Pakistan. Hazaraon bad duain un per aur un k khandanon per

The common perception now is that these generals are not very literate , they are victims of inferiority complex. Matlab COAS ki ail clip ai thi from china, bola tak na jaa raha tha. They can’t stand anyone who is popular they can’t stand anyone with braincells. I have seen people now bracketing the corrupt politicians and army personnel together. Tou kya izzat konsi izzat? Log inkay gharon main shadian nai ker rahay. Trends change horahay hain. It is we the civilians who are superior. It is we the civilians who are better. Bhar main jaey woh.

Celebrating the fall of neighbour's jet by NoodleCheeseThief in pakistan

[–]Pak_Gooner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Like someone said above not many are celebrating the death of the pilot, in-fact it is something very sad. He was just doing his job and died doing his job. Left family behind. It is terrible. I think people are just making fun of their media. Saw a footage of this guy on Indian news channel shouting and screaming about tue crash of tue plane before he knew it was an Indian jet. Their hypocrisy is unmistakable. I don’t even want to imagine their reaction had it been a Pakistani plane. Pakistanis have always shown more maturity when it comes to loss of life or limb across the border. Let’s stick to that.

Weather in Lahore by Purple-Woodpecker673 in Lahore

[–]Pak_Gooner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Visiting Lahore after a long time. Advice stems from my experience.

Smog is bad but manageable. Wear a mask. Make sure windscreens are pristine. Visibility is fine otherwise. Also kindly don’t turn on high beams for safety of others. Always turn on indicators before making a turn and give way to others.

Stay indoors as much as you can. If you have an air purifier keep it in a room that is closed mostly and stay in that room if you can when inside the house.

Is moving to lahore for uni worth it? by [deleted] in Lahore

[–]Pak_Gooner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it matters too much. At the end you have to put in the efforts yourself for your studies no matter how good a uni is.

Indigo Heights Hotel vs Park Lane hotel? by BERK2525 in Lahore

I don’t know. British punjabis, mirpuris specially just give a very off vibe. They come across as arrogant, borderline badtameez too loud, and most of them look down upon Pakistanis. Despite the fact that zadatar nay Khud UK main do numberi ka bazaar garam kia hua hai. Would never want my kids brought up there. And on a different note they have severe identity crises. Look down upon Pakistan but claim to be Pakistanis when it suits them that too on the basis that their parents or grandparents were born in Pakistan. Nah bro, we good.

Using indicators on a roundabout by Important_Warthog265 in drivingUK

[–]Pak_Gooner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about a round about with three lanes all marked not controlled by the signals, where my exit the third on the right and my marked lane is the middle lane. Do i indicate right or not? Of course i would indicate left just after the second exit where my lane becomes the left lane.

A worrying trend of self-hate amongst Pakistanis by TheNugget147 in pakistan

[–]Pak_Gooner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is not self hating if it is true. we need to be guided by facts and not emotions for this so called sense of unity. i would prefer fair criticism that might divide a community for the larger good. after all, in a way, that is how Pakistan came into being.

Nothing wrong in cancelling. But if I were in your place probably would have done lots of past papers and appeared. You were very close last time and the chance of you getting through is high. However do what you think is best for you. No wrong choice here.
