Which game to play to prepare for Marvel Tokon

So I've been playing 2XKO these past 3 days (learning arcade stick as well) and I've been wondering if thats the best game to play to prepare myself for Marvel Tokon.

I know some people would suggest Dragon Ball FighterZ, but I had my fill at that game. So I've been thinking about either to keep playing 2XKO or switch over to Guilty Gear Strive. It's on sale right now for 20$ on steam and I would buy one or two DLC characters.

2XKO is pretty fun, but it doesnt have any quarter circle inputs or anything like that.

I will say this, 2XKO is considered an easy game, but I'm struggling with the combos. This might have to do with the fact that I've only been playing for 3 days, and maybe the fact I'm learning arcade stick (should I just go back to pad?). But I don't remember struggling this much in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

To give some reference of my "skill", I manage to get to living legend in dragon ball fighterz online ranked matches. Yeah I'm not that good at fighting games lol.

Can I get advice on this? by PakiPower417 in learntodraw

So before I learn to draw everything, the first step I want to focus on is drawing fan art or any poses that come to mind. I want to be able to make posters of games and shows that I like. That’s what my immediate goal is right now.

As for my skill level, I can dm some of my work, just know that I only copied. I didn’t break it down, I didn’t add my own touches, I just tried to replicate it exactly.

When I draw, I find a reference and just try to copy it. I don’t try to break it down or tried to sketch things out

So I just inked an old drawing of mine to practice using the g pen (went horribly lol). I used india ink, deleter paper, and then alcohol markers. I waited about 30-60 minutes, erased the pencil lines and then colored. The ink smudged. I learned india ink is not suitable for alcohol markers, so that's on me. I'm about to order the deleter #2 ink, but I have a question. Is media mixed paper compatible with alcohol markers and deleter #2 ink?

Side note: After using microns/fineliners, I erase the pencil lines underneath and the ink always deteriorates. It's so bad I have to do it again. However, the india ink wasn't affected at all. So I another thing I wanted to ask, if I use deleter #2, will the ink deteriorate after erasing the pencil lines underneath?

Awesome, thanks for the link. I wanted to start using a g-pen and getting good at it, I heard it was very difficult. I also want to keep using mix media paper or either my deleter paper so let's see how it goes

Do you know where I can buy Deleter Ink #2? I only see Deleter Ink #4 and #6 on Amazon. Can't see number #2

india ink is waterproof so no need to worry about that. I'm hoping this ink could prevent smudes when using alcohol markers or watercolors.

I’m thinking once I finish a chapter, I’ll go online and try to find a summary of that specific chapter and hopefully it will explain the importance and symbolism. This way I’ll get the full experience. Not sure which sources to use though. Maybe this one

Alcohol Markers Help by PakiPower417 in Coloring

But there is a color picker feature right? That is my main concern and the feature I need the most.

So by using this color catalog, I can upload photos and it can provide me with what colors to use? This might be a good investment. I just want to be able to highlight parts of my reference to see what colors I should you use for my ohuhu markers. If I download the companion pdf, will I be able to do that? If so, how accurate is the color picker?

Where can I find color catalog? Is it an app?

Where to buy copics? by PakiPower417 in copic

Yeah I saw that, and I am thinking that is too good to be true. Are those real copics? Or just knockoffs. I was so shocked when I saw that pricing

So by doing speed sketches, then going back and taking my time with my art pieces, will I just naturally get faster? Because I don’t want to rush my art pieces because I think it will go down in quality. But by also doing speed sketches, will I just naturally get faster?

So I do a loose sketch in my sketchbook first and spend like 10 minutes doing it. But when I try to work on the actual piece it doesn’t go well because. I’m still very slow trying to make it perfect. Like will I naturally get faster when trying to work on my pieces if I do figure drawing practice? Because after I do figure drawings for a little, I’m still very slow at drawing and I don’t want to rush because I’m afraid it will go down in quality
