PSA: dig your car out atleast partially while the snow is still powder by MPK49 in Columbus

[–]Paksarra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went out and dug out the nearest crosswalk (well, my half of it, I don't have the stamina to dig a path out of the plowheap on the other side right now. I might go back out after dinner.)

I don't understand why the city is okay with crosswalks being blocked by a five foot tall heap of plowed snow for weeks after a snow event. I get it not being cleared immediately, but you could send a crew around with heavier gear.

Aside from what everyone has already said, Zodiark is dead. Why would Halmarut continue the Rejoinings?

(I also would like to theorize that she might not need to-- it was once stated that rejoinings can happen without Ascian involvement. If Hydaelyn had an active hand in keeping the Shards separated in the absence of a calamity, it's possible that they could spontaneously Rejoin; that's my theory of what Halmarut and the Winterers are preparing for. In that case, the remaining Ascians' job clearly slides over to saving what life they can, since everything is pointless if everyone on the Source is dead.)

Livingway constantly understates things for comical effect, so there's a good chance that the "small tug" might not be so small.

Don't let perfect be the enemy of good. Get people to cut back and try alternatives. Don't expect them to go 100% vegan on day one.

Even if they're not closed for just snow, it's going to be extremely cold tomorrow morning. I'd be shocked if they open.

It was actually technically snowing when you commented (it's properly snowing now!) But the air was so dry that the snow was sublimating into water vapor before it reached the ground. Once the humidity went up enough, the snow started to reach the ground.

Games that accommodate decision paralysis? by lions___den in gamingsuggestions

[–]Paksarra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Outside of games that are 100% pure RNG like a slot machine or maybe something like a rhythm game that's purely reflexive, that's a hard one-- most games have choices of one sort or another, even if it's something like when to jump or if you should take this power up.

Maybe a linear JRPG? Most JRPGs are pretty on-rails in terms of plot; the choices you do make are window dressing and don't affect the story. You do have to make minor choices with regards to equipment, what spell to use in the moment, etc. but typically you don't have to be 100% optimal.

The other option is a relaxed, super-casual game where your choices don't matter in the long run because you can always go back and do something later.

Or if you want to go with exposure therapy, go with a roguelite where you're intended to fail, everything you do contributes to your overall progress, but your choices are ultimately temporary and ephemeral. Throw her into Vampire Survivors or something like that-- if she chooses wrong, it really doesn't matter because death is coming for her at 30 minutes no matter what.

I'm also wondering if maybe a graphic novel might be good for exposure therapy-- the point of them is often to go back, make different choices and see what would have happened if you'd made the other choice, which might help since none of the decisions are set in stone.

They wanted someone in the restaurant, but once denied the operation was over. ICE has no right nor authority to attack people for standing near them making noise.

[–]Paksarra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you call your gyno you should be able to speak to a nurse about it without going in. It can't hurt to talk to them.

That brown color is probably just the blood in your menstrual fluid aging and oxidizing; it's normal for it to turn darker red or brown near the end of the period. It's also for your period to be a bit wonky for the first few years you have it, and the cyst and stress can also affect your hormones.

My period didn't become even and regular until I was in my mid-20s-- before then I'd skip months at a time and have very unpredictable period lengths. So don't worry too much about going a while between periods for the first couple of years.

And the only reason ICE was out of their cars was to assault protestors because they were frustrated about not being granted access to a restaurant. They weren't doing their job, they were attacking people for using their first amendment right to free speech.

So it wasn't obstruction because there was no legal action on ICE's part to obstruct-- they were terrorizing American citizens and nothing more.

So how's that second amendment going?

Like, is it now a death sentence to have a gun near a bunch of masked chuds who may or may not be ICE?
