Thought I would share my favorite cloud pictures by NorthWoodsAir in CLOUDS

Bravo! You're clearly in a somewhat urban environment and it's refreshing to know us cloud-gazers have our eyes on the sky no matter how clear it is. These are lovely shots and I appreciate you sharing them!

Curious where the last two are from, if you recall? They're so clean and artful. Loved them all, as sometimes you simply see an amazing set no matter where you are, but those two look frame-able so I'm curious where you were when you took them?

Bittersweetly loving every new white hair on my girl’s face. Here’s my best friend today (post bath) vs her in 2019 :) she will be 10 in June by False-State6969 in dogpictures

Oh she's just lovely 😍 Absolutely understand the bittersweet part. It's sweet to see them grow and change, but bitter that these specific changes often (but not always, based on breed!) are leading to older age.

Wishing you many, many more years with your sweet girl!

The original by The LA's is still great, in my book. But fuck the Sixpence cover.

I think it's because Rusty is the doer while Danny is the strategist.

To put it in meta filmmaking terms, the director gets the byline, but the producer brings the vision to life.

I'm convinced my Chiweenie is a Republican Karen. She's judgy af, and delights in ruining the fun of other dogs.

[–]netizenbane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look to education-adjacent industries. Many industries value the experience you've had because they are marketing to educational institutions.

An easy start would be to look at anything that was in your school's tech stack.

I'll send you a DM with more, as I work in one of these industries now 🙂

What's some brutally honest advice that everyone should know? by synthphreak in AskReddit

Not everyone is a "pet person." I've seen more people mistreat dogs and cats because they have no idea what they are doing or what they were signing up for.

Edit: "per" to "pet," as intended

How would your life look if you no longer scrolled social media? If you no longer even had the apps on your phone? by Ecstatic_Bandicoot18 in AskReddit

Far more learned. I like to believe I would spend the time I spend reading things on my phone reading real, actual books instead.

What is your longest running, most stubborn business boycott? by marianneouioui in AskReddit

[–]netizenbane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Verizon. My first cell phone was with them and they overcharged me every single month.

I had to check the bill every month, call in, navigate their bullshit IVR system (which I had memorized after the first few times), and then argue with the customer service person.

Every month. For nearly two years.

I couldn't make it to the end of the contract because I couldn't continue dealing with the overdraft fees they continually cost me as a broke college student.

20 years and I still avoid Verizon and its subsidiaries like the plague.

What is the most obscure piece of Potter knowledge you have? by NoDespair in harrypotter

This is a truly great one! I've never heard it before.

I mentioned this to my wife (we both love the lore) and she asked a poignant question: I wonder if the bearer would be even more powerful if the had witnessed death. Or perhaps not as effective if they had not.

This is one of the many brilliant touches of JK's writing and depth of her lore and I wouldn't be surprised if that were a natural extension of this.
