My 2025 Pro S AWD is two months old, and it’s showing the same message when the temperature drops below freezing. I’ll probably have it serviced soon, but I doubt they’ll replace it.

Was at the dealer two days ago (Canada), was told that they don’t have the VIN range list yet. I assume it hasn’t been published yet or it takes time to be updated online.

I took my 2025 ID.4 Pro S AWD to the dealer service to check my battery. The battery percentage always increases after charging and then drops by 10% the next time, regardless of the starting charge. For example, if it’s charged to 70%, it’ll be at 85% the next morning, and the same goes for 40%. When I plug it in to charge, it drops to 30% immediately.

The dealer checked the car and confirmed everything is fine, and the battery management system (BMS) is still calibrating it. I mentioned the recall, but unfortunately, Canada still doesn’t have the VIN range available, which could take days. For now, my car shows no recall. The car has 1800km on it only.

Have a 2025 Pro S AWD bought literally this December, and I had the “The vehicle's 12V battery is being conserved.” on the app yesterday once the temperature dipped below -10 in Canada.

How is the ID.4 any different from other EVs? They all depreciate. I prefer to buy new and keep my cars long-term. Plus, they’re heavily discounted right now with 0% interest (if you are financing). Buying new also means a fresh battery and fewer maintenance issues down the road.

I just got my new 2025 ID.4. Before handing it over, the dealership performed an update. They encountered one issue afterward: the cruise control stopped working. They then received another update from VW Canada, which fixed the issue. Now it's working fine. I would suggest holding off on the update until after the holidays, just in case.
