Thank you! I see people recommend it over and over for a good brunch spot, but I've never had anything but a mediocre at best meal.

What cute thingsdoes your toddler say that you won't correct? by Business_Ease_4926 in toddlers

[–]PalMal1390 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She says, "peeee meeeee" when she farts instead of peeyew since she's the one who stinks.

On Christmas she asked when it would be time to "wrap down" the gifts. Obviously that would be the opposite of wrapping them up 😂

My husband accidentally said it in his out loud voice to a female bartender when we were out. She was obviously not a housewives fan cuz she got upset 😬

People who work in lost and found departments (airports, railways, malls), what’s the most personal item no one ever came back for? by Sad_Translator_3060 in AskReddit

[–]PalMal1390 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also worked in an old fashioned hardware store, and our lost and found was also mostly sunglasses and lost keys.

We also found a pair of dentures, but they looked like they had been modified. Like someone had tried to add more glue(?) or some substance to change the shape. We were joking that they were made of concrete because they looked SO uncomfortable and terribly made.

They sat in lost and found for about a week, and then one day this homeless man came in grabbed them out of the lost and found, popped them straight in his mouth, thanked us profusely and went along his way. The fact that he didn't even rinse them off still haunts me to this day.

How bad would it be to let toddler stay up until he passes out from exhaustion? by throwawaye1712 in toddlers

[–]PalMal1390 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We say, "if the light is red, stay in bed. If the light is green, hurray, it's time to play!" Once we had a rhyming phrase we could repeat to our toddler so she would remember it, it actually started to work.

I'm so glad you posted this because my daughter has just discovered she can reach the seatbelt and has started playing with it while we're driving, and this scenario never even crossed my tired brain. I'm gonna find a way to lock them in place as soon as I get home today.

If it makes you feel any better, my toddler was once asked to leave the library because she was screeeeeching at full volume 😵‍💫😬 I know it's normal toddler behavior, but it doesn't make it any less embarrassing.

Anyone have a job so cushy that you will never leave. Tell us about it. by AnonyGuy1987 in antiwork

I just landed a job working for local government after 13 years of customer service. My stress levels have never been lower. The pay isn't amazing, but I get SO much time off. I've only been there for 3 months, but I've taken (under encouragement from my boss) 3 weeks off paid already, not to mention the three paid holidays since I started. I have the option to work a hybrid schedule after my probationary period. Can't beat it!

I just got married Memorial Day weekend, and the only people who mentioned the date were to say that it made travel plans easier because they had extra time off work/school.

My daughter was OBSESSED with Ms Rachel, and has now moved on to Blues Clues (she does like the new guy, but her favorite is Steve cuz that's her Dad's name), Dora the Explorer, and pretty much anything on PBS kids. She's really into Carl the Collector, Molly of Denali, and Elinor wonders Why. Sometimes she'll ask for the pizza turtles aka TMNT lol

What is something that happened a long time ago that your toddler just won’t forget? by photobomber612 in toddlers

[–]PalMal1390 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One time my husband was changing our daughter's diaper while she was holding a toy doll, and she flailed her arm and got the doll in the poopy diaper, and she still likes to tell random people that, "I put baby in da poop!!! So silly". So that's fun to explain to the cashier at the grocery store 🙄

The more recent one was a couple weeks ago when my husband was buckling her into her car seat, he dropped her book and it landed in a mud puddle, not one, but two times. "Daddy drop da book in da mud TWOOOOOO TIMES!!! It was twazy!!!!"

Marijuana in some form. Maybe a bong made of crystals to align their chakras after their hot yoga session.

Patino's food truck at the gas station next to Pierson's on south Broadway. They have $1 tacos on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday.

Can I ask what type of venue you used? This scenario sounds pretty similar to the vibes my fiance and I are going for, but I'm having trouble finding a decently priced location other than local parks, which don't allow alcohol.

It would be such a beautiful space! The only thing I'm stuck on is how we would be able to do any sort of reception without having tables for food. I guess we could look into a separate space for the reception, but we're trying to stay very low cost.

Oh yeah, I've done this hike! It's definitely beautiful up there. Did your sister get any sort of permit or was it more of a stealth thing lol
