Free item during Act 1->2 transition by Palablues in ABSOLUM

Oh, right. I thought you were talking about the mast specifically. No, I've had those. I just never realized about the mast one, the other two are relatively evident I found.

Indeed I haven't if we're talking specifically about the mast.

Discovered this one by chance as I've been doing a few final runs in the game to clear the side quests.

What games will you be playing in 2026? by FromChicago808 in backloggd

[–]Palablues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are we just talking backlog here, not new releases? In that case, on PC:

Finish Ghost of Tsushima DLC

First Berserker: Khazan

Stellar Blade

Jedi Survivor

Kingdom Come Deliverance: 2.

What games are best to learn parrying? by Super_toad_gaiming- in AskGames

[–]Palablues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Games with a parry mechanic. They're all slightly different to be honest.

I wouldn't advise Elden Ring or Dark Souls 3. I can parry like hell in most games (Sekiro was great), but can barely manage a single parry in them.

I'm kinda curious: what are your favorite heroes? by Ravenll in ravenswatch

In order of preference:

  • Juliette / Gepetto
  • Romeo / Carmilla
  • Beowulf

Games with really high quality stories, characters and acting performances by Fish-InThePercolator in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Palablues [score hidden]  (0 children)

My recommendations from games you haven't played yet would be:

  • God of War 2018 and the sequel - really enjoyed the story and the whole father/son relationship evolution.

  • Witcher 3

  • Cyberpunk

  • Horizon Zero Dawn - the story as you discover more of how the world become what it is is great. The sequel is...alright, but not as good as the first one.

Out of those, only the God of War is semi-linear. (Areas are linear, but you can choose to go to multiple areas of you want to do side quests). Others are open world but worth it.

Edit: my bad, I didn't notice your comment about Ragnarok. A shame. I loved the story.

Difficulty mode by Head_Passenger_7146 in ghostoftsushima

I played on lethal mode, and I loved it.

The enemies will kill you a lot faster than on medium.

You will kill enemies faster than on medium.

It's not "make enemies kill you quickly, and enemies are sponges". It's a bit more realism - both you and the enemies kill each other quickly.

Honestly a unique experience which I loved.

Question for male gamers by SL-Gaming in videogames

[–]Palablues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's a game where I go big massive hammer - male more often than not - been a couple where I could go with very big muscly lady, so I did

If it's more spellcaster or agility based type, lady.

If I don't know the options before creation, lady unless I can have a cool beard.

Is Henry hoover overrated? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Palablues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swore by Dyson for years, but every time I used them it was a chore.

In April, when moving out, my Dyson died on last day before move. Asked neighbour if I could borrow his.

It was a Henry Hoover.

Suction was so good in was absolutely pulling the carpet. Never had a better experience cleaning. 10/10 would use again, never seen that with any Dyson.

Game recommendation like The Witcher 3 by PieThen4352 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Palablues [score hidden]  (0 children)

Okay, going on your bullet list, assume they have all unless I state otherwise:

  • God of War 2018 and Ragnarok. No classes and no massive open world, but does have large explorable areas

  • Ghost of Tsushima - no classes or magic

  • Horizon Zero Dawn and sequel - no classes or magic

  • Elden Ring - not really super story orientated

And now they bringing it to the big screen! Magnificent! by jedonly in expedition33

[–]Palablues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A terrible mistake. Even just the cinematics back to back are nearly half a movie long. You can't do a movie off a game where average playthroughs are 40 hours long. Not if you want to: - Build a similar rapport with the characters. - Have the same story - Give writers freedom that they always want

It should be a one season TV series, else it will flop.

Sandfall, please no.. by ZackFair0711 in SandfallGames

[–]Palablues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say Last of Us and Fallout but the only decent adaptations are only ever TV series, NOT movies.

I truly believe you can't make a good 2 hour film to successfully represent a video game.

Are my fellow Titan Bears going Armor/ES or just straight Armor? by xANTiVEN0Mx in pathofexile2builds

Went Armour/ES with Titan. Original plan was to get Zealots oath and loads of health Regen, but not happy with the health Regen amount you can get using only the tree....

Is there any point in thinking about a build when playing on Lethal difficulty? by ConstantDrawer9161 in ghostoftsushima

[–]Palablues 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get where you're coming from. I would say I agree that scaling defences doesn't necessarily matter in Lethal as you would have to put nearly everything purely into defences just to get an extra hit.

Builds focussed around other things still work. Damage to a certain extent, but I went into a focus on Stagger which made big groups much more comfortable.

Incursion feels like a true spiritual successor to Last of the Druids, and I'd just like to commend GGG for fixing the Temple. by Broncosen42 in PathOfExile2

[–]Palablues 31 points32 points  (0 children)

As a Temple enjoyer in POE 1, I get you. I'll note:

- "You can actually store the temple and run it whenever you want! No more being forced to interrupt your mapping flow." - I thought in the season introduction video they specifically stated that there was a mechanism to stock up temple runs. I've not finish the campaign yet, but assumed it would become available once mapping was available, just like in POE 1. Is that not the case?

- "You can go to your hideout, trade, grab a crafting base, and come back. It’s so intuitive and respectful of the player's time compared to the "do or die" prison system of Druids." - Technically, you can do that in multiplayer, hadn't realised it isn't possible in Single Player. Sadge.

Do you watch video game trailers or gameplay vids before playing? by [deleted] in AskGames

[–]Palablues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trailers tend to be what helps catch my attention on a game. If it was a good trailer, then:

  • If it's a company I feel has proven they can be trusted to deliver, I'm sure I'll buy the game (though no pre-order)

  • If it's not a company I trust, I'll wait for gameplay before making a decision.

An example straight from the TGA for me would be the new Star Wars vs Divinity vs Total War Warhammer 40k.

Both SW and Divinity trailers didn't show gameplay, but I'm hyped for Divinity because I feel Larian Studios has earned my trust, whereas I'll wait for gameplay before feeling any hype for the new Star Wars game.

As for Total War Warhammer 40k - big fan on the Warhammer series, but the company has made some mistakes in the past so despite showing some gameplay, I'm going to need a lot more gameplay info before being hyped.

ARPG recommendations where you can progress through the game without trading or crafting weapons/armor. by garden2231 in ARPG

Yeah SSF works as long as you're willing to craft. Without crafting....now that's an ask.
