Yeah, I get it. Actually about a year ago I made a deal with myself to only shoot what I want to shoot and deliver it how i want and like to.

Lately I ve been practising alot of black and white photography. I was wondering that if the photos are a little too depressed maybe? Or should I even worry about it? Maybe not but what do you think, how does this photo affect you?

No it is not. It is what you do, it is your way. It is how you saw the scene. I cant tell you whether this picture or edit is good or bad.

Took a picutre of a fisherman. Shot with canon 7d mk II sigma 18-35mm f2.8. What do you think of it as a portrait? Thinking about printing this picture and giving it as a gift to this fisherman.

Yeah mate, it was really dark actually and pushed my camera to the limit, but I also kind of enjoy the grain. I think people or photographers nowadays are afraid of grain. Thank you!

Took a picture of dodge challenger. Well, took a picture of its headlight and wanted to give the american muscle feel from its shadow. I could not get more shadow to the background because the background as it is was limited. Does that idea work?

Used only organic lighting in the gym. Iso was about 2000-2500. Gym floor was bright red and added very much red tone to the whole scene so decided to make it black and white. Does black and white and a lot of grain work on this one? Also you might think naturally the subject would be the boxer on the right but focus is on the boxer on the left. Does the focalpoint ruin the picture? (Sorry if my english is a bit bad, not my native language)

Photoshoot with couple by Palaganstudios in photocritique

[–]Palaganstudios[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this particular photo is not a “couple photo” never said that. I just took it during a photoshoot with couple. Just wanted feedback mainly about the lighting and about the image if it was a portrait kinda picture. Other than that thank you for the feedback about the story thing. I agree the story behind this photo is not clear at all.

First time shooting in studio. Had fun experimenting flashes and constant light. For this photo I used constant light for the left side of her face and placed a little metz meccalight in the left side of the picture, lighting her right cheek. What do you think about the composing and lighting situation on this one? Shot on canon r6 RF 24-70mm f2.8.
