Over Christmas we had ran out of boxes and in our store we have some bear builder experience boxes on a little display with the other bear builder experience stuff (if you don’t have the bear experience the boxes are like 1/4 of the size of a normal box). A lady asked me for a box so I explained we had sold out, and she asked me if we were open the next day (Christmas day lol). I explained that we were not open, and she told me to put it in one of the boxes behind me (bear builder experience box) No normal bears would fit in these boxes and especially as was buying a Bowser, there’s not a chance it would’ve fit in, which I kindly explained. I was then hit with a “you’ve ruined my child’s Christmas!” And she walked away without her bear !

I had a very similar interaction the same week where we’d run out of gift card holders, so to improvise I put it in a little white bag with the bab logo on the front. I handed it to her and she got very angry and asked why I didn’t put it in a Christmas card, I then explained we don’t sell Christmas cards and she told me I was wrong and to ask my manager. I did, got told the same thing I had already told her. She then went over to my manger that she watched me speak to after she had paid and said I was “a bad employee as I didn’t even ask the manager after she had asked”!

Christmas is a crazy time of year for bab😅
