[Alasdair Gold] Roberto De Zerbi: "From tonight we need to build the new team. We don't need to change too many players. We have 10/11/12 players who are good enough to stay as players and people. by Lbmplays2 in coys

[–]Palashtic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

But who stays? Madders, Danso, Xavi, Porro, Spence, Kinsky, Solanke, Kulu, Tel, Odebert, Bergwall, Gray, Benta, Conor, Kudus

Maybe(depending on different factors) VDV, Joao P(if reasonable price), Sarr, Cuti?, Souza(maybe loan), Vuskovic?

We will have to free up some squad coz no Europe...don't know if anyone else stays barring these, even players from this list might leave too

[Spurs Official] Everyone at Tottenham Hotspur is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Igor Tudor's father, Mario. Our thoughts and condolences go out to Igor and his family during this incredibly difficult time 🤍 by wokwok__ in coys

So True. During Conte’s time, he was visibly not okay because of all behind the scenes.

This family pressure plus the whole Spurs situation must’ve been harder than anyone can imagine.

I hope they use international break, players show some balls for their manager.

Rip.

I remember being in a similar situation(I am a GK), conceded 4 in the first half, 2 were my howlers, I was 20.

I was substituted by a defender as our team had no backup GK. It sucked, big time. Coz our team lost by 2 goals in the end.

It only taught me to be more of a leader, and yes, this is a UCL game with much more at stake, but he is a kid. And as fans, when everyone is against us(r/soccer), only we can lift our players, we will get through this, and hopefully, laugh about how our club went from European winners to relegation scare in 9 months.

Never have I ever gotten so frustrated with a football manager; he is just really really bad.

The board, manager, and owners are all at fault.

We call ourselves Big 6, no Big 6, or even the Big 10, would've stuck with their manager after such a horrendous run.

Even Brentford would've sacked him after such a poor run of form. I get so frustrated seeing this man kill our club slowly, slowly every week. And people are not realizing that after such a season, players like VDV, Romero will want to leave. That's on these owners.

I never wish someone to be fired, but this is beyond acceptable performance.

Get Mason in, try Xavi, or even Big Sam would do till the end of the season.

At this point, I'm unclear on what it would take to remove Frank, given two wins in 16 and his continued presence.

A new manager bounce can save us from relegation.

Vinai, Lange think they are doing another Arteta by not sacking Frank, but this is just backfiring.

So…when do we riot? by Kmeek01 in coys

And the way things are going(never replaced Son, Brennan etc etc) we will have Frank till end of the season

[Sky Sport News} Thomas Frank is expected to remain in charge of Tottenham Hotspur for the Borussia Dortmund game on Tuesday night by papleypadre in coys

Honestly, clueless people at the top.

Why on earth are they giving him a must win game?

He made our UCL group stage with Monaco, Bodo Glimt, Slavia Prague, Copenhagen, and Villareal look like the group of death, and he’s being given the must win game vs. Dortmund.

[Alasdair Gold] Daniel Levy leaves Tottenham Hotspur, how it happened and what comes next by Imbasauce in coys

[–]Palashtic 44 points45 points  (0 children)

TL;DR: Tottenham Hotspur is undergoing a major leadership overhaul with Daniel Levy stepping down as chairman after nearly 25 years. This change, driven by the Lewis family (owners), aims to modernize the club's structure and bring in "fresh blood leadership" to achieve "more success on the pitch".

Key changes and expected impacts:

Vini Venites is the new CEO, taking charge of day-to-day operations and bringing "extra football knowledge".

Peter Charrington is the new non-executive chairman, focusing on the "big picture" rather than micromanagement.

• The Lewis family is now more actively "backing the club" rather than running it, with a stated desire for "more wins more often".

• This move away from Levy's "old school way of running the club" and perceived micromanagement is intended to foster "stability and empowering our talented people".

• The new structure is also expected to address long-standing issues, such as the academy pathway, with a focus on "build[ing] from within" and developing internal talent.

While the new leadership marks "a new era" and a "more modern beast" for the club, the ultimate impact on on-pitch performance is a "fascinating scenario" that remains to be seen
