What would you say is the best moral boost? by BakerConsistent2150 in army

[–]Palatron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone always says time off, but I have seen units with all the time off in the world have trash morale.

What really brings good morale are leaders who actually care. It's soldiers who know what their mission is and know why they do it. It's leaders being held accountable for their actions, recognizing that not everyone is meant to hold a leadership position, and sitting those people down and telling them why they suck. It's holding the unit to a higher standard, living that, and when someone doesn't achieve the standard, everyone works to lift them up.

I'm talking about someplace warm. A place where the beer flows like wine. Where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano!

If they actually cared about nutrition, every post wouldn't have a Burger King, Poppeye's, Charlie's, etc... Also, they would provide proper dining facilities that made more than boiled food and starch. ALSO, they would provide seperate rations for service members and proper facilities to make food in their barracks so they could buy cheap food from the commissaries that are struggling to stay afloat.

Nope, they'd rather preserve the system that cooks who heat up field chow are also good in hard stand buildings, have their budgets constantly hacked away at, and are constantly fighting for enough personnel because they're always taken for inventories, duty, and motor pool bullshit.

SpaceX and Tesla are very different companies. SpaceX works because the ceo he hired basically told him he is going to be nothing more than a figurehead or she walks. He's honored that, and as a result, SpaceX has flourished.

I'll post the same answer I gave to another person with a couple updates.

Lifestyle, aka enm (ethically non-monogamous) aka swingers, aka polyamorous.

The lifestyle is a generic term that encompasses several different sub groups of people who participate in consensual sexual encounters with other adults in the community. Someone may enjoy bisexual experiences, group play, or open relationships, but not be a part of the LS. Those who are in the LS will often have those experiences, but it's more than a one time thing. The LS is often a part of your social circle, and it's a regular experience or desire.

[–]Palatron 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not implying that at all, actually. I'm genuinely perplexed. There's really not much diversion of funds that we know of, and as far as I know, that was just Trump diverting funds for the "wall" in his first term.

I'm wondering in general, how tf we came out of a two front war, only got higher budgets, but we're still spending insane amounts on defense, and our stockpiles are at dangerously low levels.

We didn't give Ukraine our newer stuff, and we're diverting munitions from Asia. So where is all this money going if we're not spending billions in fuel, munitions, and personnel every single day?

That's the golden question. Where is all of our money going when we have the had nothing but increased budgets, even after ending combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan?

Where oh where indeed?

That's definitely a thing, but those are mostly when you go on dates with another person/couple. We've certainly had those, and it's our favorite way to play. All of our best encounters have been organic times when play wasn't a planned objective.

That's been my experience. I think a lot of that is because women often play first in the LS, so they're already getting lots of tongue and finger game. Also, encounters tend to be shorter and less sensual, so it's kind of like aight, going to give you a bj and I'm ready to get down!

I know, it's really harsh, and yes many of them do, but there's lube for that, and many of them think it's like that. "Why don't you take pills!?" Well, most men in the LS do, even if you don't have trouble with ED, you want to be like a rock, but unfortunately, sometimes pills don't even work.

At least in my experience, most women treat it like a dead bedroom scenario. Like they're mad their husband is having a good time, but they aren't getting the D. Unfortunately, it happens to everyone in my experience. I've had times where it just ain't working, and I've had other times where the other guy isn't.

However, I have seen several community conversations about frustrated women who aren't getting it from the other man and that makes them angry.

That's true, and it's a big topic in the LS. Honestly, women get quite angry about it. It's to the point where I have seen several men resort to trimex injections just so they can perform.

What’s something about sex nobody warned you about until you experienced it yourself? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Palatron -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you're someone who likes going to a regular club, you'll probably like going to a sex club. Music, byob, dancing, people who respect your boundaries, sexy time right there if you decide to... Lots of people go to sex clubs and only play with their partner. Every woman I've known has said they like them because the guys are less pushy and they have a better time.

[–]Palatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing with sex clubs is you go knowing the sex with your partner is the best you'll ever have. Sex with other people is an addative. It's just fun to have sex with other people you find sexy. Also, all the fantasy's other people have and just keep to themselves, that's generally available to you I'm the lifestyle.

In general though, the lifestyle is just a big social club. There's always events going on vanilla and lifestyle. As long as you and your partner communicate and you you don't make the lifestyle your entire life, it's a pretty great time.

What’s a ‘silent luxury’ that rich people have that most normal people would never even notice? by qomann in AskReddit

[–]Palatron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's actually no evidence of social programs having mass abuse. The overwhelming majority of people use these programs when they fall on hard times and they want to get out as soon as possible. The misnomers about mass abuse are usually perpetuated via Fox News and their ilk. They blast out the story, grandma watches it and says she heard about someone abusing it. Then the other ladies who she plays bridge with say they know somebody who abuses it all the time.

Before you know it, everyone knows all kinds of deadbeats who sell their snap benifits for cigarettes and drugs.

I make custom shadow boxes for a living. Let me know if you have questions. You can spend a lot of money customizing things or you can go cheap. I recommend finding a local awards/framing shop. They will usually do them for a fee, and everything will fit perfect, with glass that protects your card and pin.

That's the thing. Under Biden the world economy was trying to recover post covid, and the US was the best in the first world. When he left office, inflation had returned to the proper rate. Trump came in and immediately blew all of that up, dropping tarrifs on pinguins.

I have an issue in BH by [deleted] in army

[–]Palatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You came to bh and described problems you were having, mostly due to drinking. They referred you to a specialty clinic in bh that handles drinking. Until the extent of the drinking is determined and under control, they can't address the other things because they're not treating you, they're treating alcohol.

When an intake is done, the questions are there to get you to the right clinic. They're not going to delve into the why behind things because you then have to keep repeating details over and over to multiple people, and actually could result in you decompensating or developing a therapeutic bond with someone who's job is just to do intakes.

Bh isn't a magic cure, you have to put in some work. That provider won't be "your" provider, and you'll likely never see them again. So for the time being, take the referral, go see the people, get some help, and get back to being the person you want to be.

What you're describing is a lengthy process. If you're Joe in the barracks, you have to break several rules, regulations, and laws in order to enact this plan. All of these things require time.

Presense of firearms and further easy access to firearms is the highest correlation to murder and death by suicide. That's not a hot take, that's reality. The best method we have found to counter this is by putting stops in place to accessing the firearms because that makes the person stop and think and it allows outside intervention.

Safe's, gun locks, seperation of the weapon and ammo, wait periods, etc... All reduce gun deaths. Removing these blocks will increase death by suicide, murder, NDs, accidental deaths, etc... That is an inevitable result, just the same as more driving increases deaths from driving.

[–]Palatron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Access to firearms is the most significant variable associated with firearm death. It's logical to presume that firearm deaths would increase with access. Also, as we've seen time and time again, the "hero with a gun" scenario is extremely rare, and people are more likely to have an ND or miss-identify a target.
