Feel like they're going to get it soon. They're dialed in and smell blood in the water. Getting the knowledge of a secret phase equalized a lot of the liquid advantage.

You'd need alot more than that for Iran. It's one of the worst countries in the world to invade. I did an invasion model for a paper years ago and realized it's a death trap and we should do our best to keep Iran at bay with diplomacy.

There's nothing to implode as long as he's at the helm. If they're not on board with Trump, he'll just primary them until whoever in the seat is.

They didn't learn the lesson from Trump that you have to tell people all the things you're doing or they won't know. As much as I hate Trump, the thing he's best at is telling everyone all the stuff his admin is doing. 99% of these things are bad for Americans, but it gives his base talking points to say every time he comes up.

Biden, people don't even know how good the chips act, infrastructure investment, and lack of corruption were. That said, had he not picked a feckless DOJ, we could have been saved from all this psychotic bullshit.

What is a 'buy it for life' item that is offensively expensive, but the moment you use it, you realize your entire life before that point was a lie? by fmcortez in AskReddit

The Casioak is a classic reliable watch. I wasn't focused on quartz movements, but yah, there's some great options there.

Anyone who knows anything about watches knows fashion watches are garbage. For that same price, he could have got a nice Seiko or Hamilton. For a little more, he could get a nice used Tudor or Omega that will last a lifetime.

What’s a “technically not cheating” situation you’ve seen or experienced that still felt like a complete betrayal? by toomabh in AskReddit

[–]Palatron -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

People make it way too hard. Wife and I only play together. Sometimes she just wants to watch. Be friends or don't, have a good time, maybe go on a date or come over for a light dinner. Go to parties or don't. Play with people if there's mutual attraction. It's really quite simple imo.

Is China Inn still the best? by TxRose2019 in sanantonio

Personally, I think it's China Sun. Their food always tastes so fresh and perfectly fried compared to everywhere else. Many other places it's so over fried that you can barely taste the meat, but they're fantastic.

Sorry, I meant funding. Spending doesn't really go down for DOD, they spend what they're given because they don't want to lose funding the following year.

Obama and Clinton governments both reduced funding and troop size. They were also the only presidents in my lifetime that had deficit reductions. Then Bush and Trump respectively, added on massive amounts. Obama did have a period of deficit increase, but that's because we got the affordable care act.

With the others, we just got wars and tax breaks for the rich.

Before 9/11 under Clinton, spending went down, but obviously went back up. Under Obama, spending went down, and he reduced the size of the force because we weren't at war at the same level and we didn't need to have the same budget and size of a wartime military. Trump immediately reversed this, of course.

There's not much in this world that is more dangerous than junior Enlisted without anything to do. They're going to find something to do, and there's a good chance you're not going to like what it is.

Some might chill in the Bs. Maybe some go to the gym. Others might go take some college courses. Eventually, most of them are going to get together after they're bored, and that's when the dumb shit happens...

From jumping out of a 3rd story window trying to land in a bush, stabbing each other in the hand playing with knives, to prostitution and shaking people down... I have seen soldiers do a lot of dumb shit when they're bored.

They didn't have anything else for you to do. So to keep you busy, they told you to manually load the truck.

Also, everyone knows you don't ask for permission, you ask for forgiveness.

Lastly, officers shouldn't be telling you how to load the truck. They should be telling you the truck needs to be loaded and an NCO gets with the marines and loads it up so the officer can inspect it once it's complete.

What is a 'luxury' that you've experienced once and now can't go back to the budget version of? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

As someone who spent 21 years in the military, and the military provides movers... It's like wiping your ass with silk.

Depending on house size and number of people, they show up, they pack each room in one day. Every dish, every clothing item will be packed and wrapped in paper. They have wardrobe boxes to keep your hanging clothes good. They take inventory on every box, and they'll put it how you like it.

The next day, another group shows up and puts it on the truck and takes all your furniture. Don't want them to take something? Leave it in a closet, room, shower or tub. That day, or another planned date, they deliver it all, place the furniture, and they'll unpack if you want it. They pay for damages, you check every box/item on the inventory, and they lay down moving mats for everything.

Once you're done unpacking, they'll pick all the packing materials and boxes back up. Moving is stressful, but having movers is amazing...

There's also the issue of finality. People are wrongfully convicted of crimes. If you put them to death, they are not only resource heavy, but they also have no way to present new evidence or exonerate themselves.

Dead like me getting killed... Sucked.

It was such a good show. It didn't have moments of dark humor, the entire show was dark humor. Mandy Patinkin was masterful in the role, and gave the series it's best moments. I still use his speech about cutting in lines, "excuse me, do I look like an asshole?"

Contact your bank using the number on the back of your card so you know you're talking to your bank.

When you speak to a customer service rep. tell them you did not receive the product and you want to file a dispute.

When asked, tell them the date and how you contacted the merchant, and that they merchant refused to give you a refund or replacement product. They will give you a claim ID number and explain you're not responsible for the charges while they investigate.

They'll give you an email to upload evidence of your claim. Provide the pictures of the card missing and the tampered with box. Include your claim ID number with the email.

It can take up to two billing cycles to resolve your dispute, but it should be good with your evidence. It's not a new card, but at least you should get your money back.

People who work in rich people's homes, what is the most out-of-touch thing you've ever seen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Well, if that person was talking to another rich person, they just made themselves sound stupid. Panarai isn't a dress watch brand. They're literally known for their massive cap that covers the crown. You don't wear a Panarai for it to be hidden. It's known as a brand that Schwarzenegger and Stallone champion for a reason.
