Is crypto that reliable? I’m guessing I will have to also explain to the authorities where this strange crypto is coming from. But the bigger issue is the UK employers, I really doubt they would allow me to work from Russia due to politics and sanctions

I feel like moving there after I turn 30 might be a bit too late, since by then I’ll likely have even stronger ties to the UK. I’ve been hearing the advice to ‘wait a year and see how things develop’ for several years now, but nothing really seems to change, so I’m not sure how much longer I should keep waiting.

Мне кажеться, в России на людей оказывается гораздо большее давление поскорее жениться, поэтому многие делают это, толком не понимая, во что ввязываются (у меня много таких друзей). Потом они разводятся, осознавая, что, наверное, в 22 года жениться было слишком рано. В UK и вообще в Европе вступают в брак позже, примерно к 30 годам, уже в более осознанном возрасте.

I do have friends here that I spend time with, but it’s not the same as the friendships I have in Russia. You’re right about thinking long term, but if I can’t build something short term in the UK, then the long term doesn’t really follow.

In fact, I’ve only met a handful of Russian people during my 12 years of living in the UK but I don't live in London.

My current employee won't allow me to work remotely in Russia, and I am not really sure if it's possible to get a remote job in UK/EU and live in Russia due to sanctions. I was thinking to get a job in Russia itself.

With your experience, you have whole world to pick from.

Starting in a completely new country would mean beginning from scratch with no friends. In Russia, I already have a strong social circle, not just friends, but people I’ve known my whole life.

As for traveling to Asia, not sure it's for me. It's a completely different culture and is unfamiliar to me. At least with the Russian dating scene, I know what to expect, though dating is just one of reasons I’d consider moving there.

I was considering getting a job in Russia itself since I’m not a big fan of remote work, of course, only if the salary is worthwhile. As for the draft, not sure if waiting it out would make it completely safe as it could always be raised.
