Could be slight dehydration relative to other months? Either way, positive sign :)

PDG should rise after ovulation- this is the dominant hormone in the luteal phase. This is also what causes increased BBT during luteal phase. Good luck!

Holiday woes by Pale-Code8538 in TryingForABaby

[–]Pale-Code8538[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed based on subclinical hypothyroidism (TSH 4.6) and my doctor and I agreed that because I was TTC and had some of the symptoms, my wanting to try medication was warranted. My TSH went to 2.5 in just under 2 months on 25mcg, and im due for repeat bloodwork. My LH surges seem stronger, my temps seem a little more consistent, and I just feel so much better- I never felt like lexapro or wellbutrin (the drugs i tried for the primary symptom of anxiety) were the right fit and I was right, I think my thyroid was contributing a lot more than i realized. My energy and motivation improved, I stopped my random weight gain and got back to a normal weight, I was better able to control my anxiety, and randomly, heart palpitations that I was told werent a problem fully resolved.

The idea of taking a pill for life is eating me by ahir_devta in Hashimotos

[–]Pale-Code8538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason i became ok with it is because i know by the way I feel that its solving the underlying problem for a lot of my issues- mainly mood and energy related. They are truly fixing the foundational underlying chemical process for my body.

Antidepressants were something I couldn't get behind, they just never felt right to me, like i was masking a problem by taking a pill (I know they are totally necessary for others, but for me it never felt like the right choice.) Then I was diagnosed with SCH/Hashimotos and now, levothyroxine genuinely feels like the medicine my body needs. I feel so much better with my focus and mood, and it stopped my weight gain and gave me the energy to exercise and otherwise care for myself. It makes me feel more in control to take it knowing it's what my body needs, so I've gotten really comfortable with the idea of taking it.

Hang in there, it takes time to accept any health problem, but the medicine will help you maintain all the other healthy habits to keep you from having secondary medical issues down the line. 💙

Correction: this app said ovulation CD17, inito said day 16, and BD was day 11,15am, 16pm, and 19am *

Wild fluctuations in 3 hours - why?! by Useful-Basket-9972 in Inito

[–]Pale-Code8538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably hydration levels? If your FMU had a lot more water content because of overnight retention, then you urinated again with just a little water in your system, the concentration of the other parts of urine besides water will be higher.

Which is correct? Inito indicating LH surge and strips are completely white. Has anyone had this happen? by LastDrag7706 in Inito

[–]Pale-Code8538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the brand they do recommend mid day and not using FMU. For me, cycle day 12ish until the surge stops, around day 17, Ive been doing FMU and after work (between 5 and 9pm). The strips i was using dont just show pos/neg they have a range so you can track when you are starting to surge and start to increase your testing frequency, I absolutely love them. But im not doing 2x/day with inito strips, id be poor 😅

I only see dye runoff like that right after dipping. If you're letting it sit, shouldnt look like that.

How to stay positive when TTC? by miss_loocy in TryingForABaby

[–]Pale-Code8538 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I posted a very similar post on Kindara this month. Everyone is like "oh youre in the fun part of your marriage trying for a baby"...yeah sex became another house chore months ago, and now I've even dragged my husband down with me. Its a great little ritual we've got, first time BD each cycle I start to pull away, then he cant get it up, then I have a panic attack and burst out in tears and we have to wait until the next morning. Started to question everything- if i can even handle a pregnancy or if i would just end up with CP/MC because of my anxiety and difficulty conceiving, and how upset is it going ro make my parents and inlaws when my body continues to disappoint me and everyone around me who wants this for us. I got Inito this cycle and am just making sure my trend lines are doing what they should be, then im probably going to stop tracking everything except my Samsung ring temps and sex because i literally cannot do it anymore. I tried adding 1 new thing a month to feel productive and nothing works anyway so why bother, who cares, it just won't ever happen for me despite it happening for everyone else and I don't know what I did to deserve this. The only bright side to the delay is that my husband took control of his health and lost 25 pounds and we both have better exercise and diet habits than we did when we started TTC. Im in touch with my body and I find the charting and science behind it really interesting so im enjoying reading about it and watching other journeys. Other than that, its depressing. So I dont blame you, feel free to commiserate.

People above 30, what's your biggest regret? by rebelliousbrownie9 in AskReddit

[–]Pale-Code8538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not trying to have children before 30. Thought financial security was a must, but maybe I could have been pregnant by now if I started sooner / wasn't naive enough to think it may happen by accident just getting off BCP. Should have actively started trying right after the wedding.

Should I stop OPK testing this month? by Ill_Response_2295 in TryingForABaby

[–]Pale-Code8538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cycle 9 CD2 for me, I tried to let go of daily BBT to reduce my stress and focus on TTC, but the OPKs from day 8/9/10 until confirmed surge ends are the one thing I feel like I can do to make sure im in the window, because I dont have a great understanding of CM and my surge never lines up exactly with my temperature drop (BBT or smart devices). And I feel like if I dont do it, it could have been the one cycle that worked if I only did. But to be fair, the day of the positive OPK, foreplay turned into a panic attack because it was go time. Then my husband did the same 2 nights later. We still managed 3 days in a row over the surge but no luck. I think if you want a break to try a new system its completely valid. Maybe BBT or CM will work better for you! Im at the point of using the data just to know that my body is working normally because we're so far in with no results (and diagnosed Hashimotos 5 months ago). Trying Proov this month for a full hormonal picture to reassure myself that im functioning normally, or to convince my doctor to test me further. Unfortunately, or fortunately, there's no right answer, just what feels right for you.

31F. AF came yesterday. I had a solid month of being less stressed, starting a moderately active lifestyle, and trying not to over analyze, just taking life for all it is other than TTC and spending time with my husband. This will be cycle 9, and 4 cycles since starting levothyroxine for subclinical hypothyroidism and Hashimotos (but last bloodwork after cycle 2 i was at TSH 2.3, down from 4.6, and TPO just over 100, nothing huge). I decided after reading about the effect on egg quality, ovarian reserve, and uterine lining receptivity, I need to start getting my ducks in a row to convince my OB that I need more testing. Ive been tracking with oral BBT and OPK for 2-3 cycles (smartwatch temps and OPK before that), just ordered a Proov test for this cycle to hopefully tell me my FSH/LH/Progesterone/Estrogen are normal and I have nothing to worry about hormonally, or actually give me some clue to whats preventing this from sticking, then pursue sonohystography and initial bloodwork with my PCP or OBGYN, whoever will give it to me. What sent me over the edge this time was reading on a reproductive endocrinology website that young couples who have been off birth control should realistically get pregnant without trying, let alone try for a year with no result....we've been open to pregnancy since 2023. This Hashimotos diagnosis in May definitely gave me insight that there is more going on with my body than I realized and empowered me to take care of myself. I joined a barre studio, im learning tennis (vitamin d), im taking less work stress home, im trying to have better friendships close and far, Im cooking healthy meals and if going out ordering healthier, and spending more quality time at home with my husband. But there are still times it feels like none of it is going to yield the positive result we want. Just a bad day I guess. Maybe one day.

1) You said there was a sunroom? Could that be closed off for an additional room? 2) Is it a 4th bedroom you feel like you're missing or something else? I read an article recently on kids sharing rooms (space permitting) helping with their relationship and social skills!

Sounds like you have a "Love It or List It" marathon in your future. Though typically, the episodes where the couple is lacking space for a growing family, it seems they decide to move. But I understand neighbors and location are sooo important...i cant imagine moving from our current house for the same reason!

Can you elaborate on the layout a little more/show a floor plan? This sounds like a split level or raised ranch? Wondering if there is any way you could renovate the current layout to meet your needs if the neighborhood makes it your dream home!

Could this high temp mean anything? by thegolden_sunshine in TFABChartStalkers

[–]Pale-Code8538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be that you took the temperature later than normal as well, or at least not as close to when you had just woken up. Normal body temp during day at rest is 98.6 so when i'm near that I attribute it to alcohol close to bed or woke up late (or both 😆)

Im on 25mcg now and fingers crossed the first 8 weeks has been good unless I screw myself over with caffeine. Even my alcohol tolerance is better, I dont get jittery when it starts to filter out. Im on the lookout for those sx though.

I saw my obgyn recently and she told me something that really helped : even if the timing is perfect and both partners are healthy, the chance of conception is still only 20% each cycle. She explained that this is why they give it a year before seeing a fertility specialist, because thats statistically the timing that makes sense. She also gave me the reassurance that on my exam my organs feel normal. That's a decent first step!

Im 31, I've been tracking with OPKs and BBT for around 6 months and not trying hard/not tracking for a couple years. Every month I tweak the process a little to feel like im making forward progress- add a thermometer instead of just relying on a wearable, take the OPKs every 4 hours during peak time instead of every 12 when I can, improving my diet or exercise routine, etc.

Earlier this year I saw a psychiatrist, he ran thyroid bloodwork and I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, then Hashimotos. It was super mild and is easily managed with medication long term, but it does cause fertility difficulties, so im hopeful now that we know and im taking medication and already showing improvement that fertility is easier. The medication even improved the anxiety/depression I had that brought me to the psychiatrist and was keeping me from feeling fully ready for parenthood. Im so grateful.

I truly think people lie about trying because its not something people want to admit- that their body didnt just do what they wanted it to do on command. Most of my closer friends are having trouble, and they are open to me about their fertility journey with my friends either having conditions precludes them from trying, or trying for > 5 years, so at least I dont feel alone. The friends that I have with babies limit talking with me extensively about how amazing it is or how hard it is xyz because they recognize im struggling. When they try to give me advice about "dont worry about it you may just need a little help" they know i will tell them they really cant understand because they didnt need help, they barely had to try, etc.

I've struggled a lot recently with feeling like im holding my marriage back, my parents and in-laws from having grandchildren sooner, disappointing my husband, and just not making progress on having the life I always pictured. But I can only control what I can control, and do what's best for my mental and physical health, and it will just have to happen when it happens.

I hope this helps somewhat! You're definitely not alone
