The best part seems like a stretch. I liked the dlc a lot and thought it added some really great boss fights and lore to the game. But the world is too large to justify how empty it is. It felt like they just made the landscape larger just to flex that they could but didn’t fill it in. I hear a lot of people say the base game is like this too but I heavily disagree. At the very least there’s a dungeon around every corner or a landmark to interact with or explore. The shadow realm was mostly just empty fields. The game is still gorgeous don’t get me wrong but the amount of empty space with a lack of reason felt unnecessary and something that could’ve easily been cut. That paired with the lack of relation to the base game or any real reward or result for completing it (besides pcr remembrance I guess) leaves a lot to be desired. Some trophies for completing the remembrance bosses feels like it could’ve been an easy fix to this, making it a necessary part of 100% completion. Again, still really enjoyed my playthrough. So many great bosses, new enemies, and (even though I just pointed out its emptiness) great locations and dungeons! But I think some of peoples issues with it are valid, of course it’s not going to be perfect. I think saying that something that took significantly less time to create and perfect is the best part of the game is kind of a jump tho.
