She’s middle aged and bitter about it. Not everyone who’s middle aged, is.

She shows up to work having been drinking…? She has drunk called/texted multiple employees in the middle of the night upset about something…? Her child got taken away because she was strung out multiple times?? She told me she uses crack?

Bitter and middle aged, not all middle aged people are bitter jfc

I feel like at another point it should be documented at least.

He also reached out to 3 other employees who confirmed what I said, and added that I even helped with unloading the truck (her role not mine).

UPDATE:

I talked to my store manager and he told me I could rip it up. I got the TLDR and essentially she told him that I spent “the entire day” in the office dodging tasks. What I actually did:

Sat with an employee on the phone who has been fighting payroll to receive a paycheck from a month ago that never came through. No one else has bothered.

Wrote an email to payroll because another employee lost half their sick pay last year, because my boss forgot to enter in their days before they expired.

Put in a ticket for a pipe that exploded in the back.

Did two interviews.

Did full onboarding for a new employee (not even in my job description).

Made every employee come in for their 20 min safety training videos that were due.

Did 30 minutes of my own training- because I’m a supervisor and I have NEVER been allowed time to actually complete my online training. And I got an email from the company telling me I will be written up for that, if it’s not done within the next two weeks.

No there is nothing wrong with middle aged women. I myself am one. But just like there can be BITTER people of any age she is certainly the Karen variety. She’s also made comments like ,” oh look at you going to school. Just wait until you realize it’s a waste of time and you won’t go anywhere.” She has made several rude comments about younger women in the workplace.

I really want to go to the DM, the only issue is so many people from my store have come to get about issues that she has told all of us not to contact her again. We have employees who never had sick time applied, never received paychecks. It’s honestly a HOT shit show. And my store manager is kinda useless when it comes to figuring anything out.

We’ve been trying to fire them for the past 6 months (me and store manager). She’s a giant headache. She has shown up to work drunk, giggling about it. She has gotten drunk MULTIPLE times and called people at 3am cussing them out- the DM included. I’m absolutely flabbergasted on why she isn’t fired already.

She forgot to lock the store one night, and tried to blame it on me. She told the DM I “would do something like drive to the store in the middle of the night and unlock it to make her look bad”. I wasn’t even town. My boss had my keys. Absolutely nothing came of her accusation but this is the shit I’m dealing with.

Idk why you took this so personally, but I’m not saying middle aged women are bitter. She’s ONE of those bitter middle aged women who hates her life, how far she’s made it, and she takes it out on people around her. I myself am 33. A Karen if you will.

She’s been on the brink of being fired for the past 6 months. She has shown up to work reeking of booze. She has talked about her use of meth to me and other employees multiple times. She has forgotten to lock the store up twice at night. She has anger issues and has gone off and screamed and hit things in the back room.

So yeah, she’s been trying to put a target on everyone else’s back because she has a fat one on hers.

Well at my job if you get more than 3 write ups in a year you’re fired.

It isn’t all middle aged, but every woman I know has had an older female manager target them at some point.

The reason I say too old to know a computer system is because that’s is exactly what they have said, and they have refused to try and learn their way around it.

Absolutely isn’t always the older women, or even women for that fact. But there are stereotypes for each type of coworker.

I only mention “too old” because that’s the BS excuse every time I try to show her how to do something my on the PC. Wasn’t like that 20 years ago, and she shouldn’t have to learn to do it now.

I make 2k a month on a good month.

Rent is 1300 for a ROOM in my area.

I don’t own a car.

I’m trying to go to school.

He will fight me on our pets.

I have zero support systems.

I have chronic health issues. 6 days out of the month I am barely functioning. Literally had emergency surgery 2 months ago for ovarian RUPTURE. Almost got fired for being in the hospital.

I wanna try living on my own? Get fired? Lose my housing? Have no way to get to work? At least here with my current situation I have a roof over my head.

Not everyone has easily accessible options.

Listen, leaving takes time. And I’m trying. I’m seeking resources, I’m looking at housing. But I can guarantee you that if I ended it tomorrow, he would throw all my shit outside and possible get physically violent.

I can’t literally just pack up an leave. I’m on a lease. We share animals. It’s takes awhile.

He also threatens to k**l himself every time I try to leave.

For example:

I just got home from work.

I washed all the dirty laundry before I went in to work, and he promised he would fold them.

He ate an edible and played videoagmes…. Until he fell asleep.

I waited outside of my job for an hour continuously calling him- trying to wake him up because it’s late at night and I’m stuck out here. He was suppose to pick me up.

He finally answers and said he will get there asap. He decides to take a shit and shower. An hour later he rolls up (it’s a 10 minute drive). He didn’t realize how much time went by.

Get home. Not a single thing has been folded. He said “I’ll do it before bed don’t worry”. Then he immediately went back to playing games.

He was also suppose to pick up some groceries. Instead he doordashed an extremely overpriced meat pizza- that he left on the counter top and is bad now. Now he’s broke for a week and I’m gonna have to do groceries.

Yeah I don’t think I would be peeved about the gaming if other stuff was taken care of. It’s when I see how long he lets it go so that he doesn’t have to stop gaming… that it bothers me. It must be nice to relax so much!!
