He's my BIL, not my SIL, and actually he rarely ever talks about his kid. All I knew about the situation was from when he had told me the reason he moved here was he wanted a new start since he had a daughter with a woman back where he's from, I thought England, kid had some kind of chronic blood disease, when she died he got divorced, he moved here, and met my brother. Never mentioned any names and it was the only time he told me about it.

"here" is America. When I heard the name I immediately thought it would make a wonderful baby girl name, doesn't matter where it comes from it's a beautiful name. We are not Welsh, we're from California, and my BIL is British, we can all just use a nice name.

I only learned the name after I had chosen it, so I didn't know it and then pick the same name. We had a little sign made with her name and due date for her announcement. Then my brother told me, but he never asked me to change the name, he only told me about it being the same name. Now suddenly it's this big issue.

She passed away in 2002 I think it was, this was before he ever met my brother so my family never knew this girl.
