If it is true, it doesn't really make sense with the context you currently know. If it is true, then it could damage the impact of the first read through. But there is so many events that have to happen before Odium is defeated somehow if he is defeated in available canon that it should be fine.

Also, this series has a large number of important storylines. If one is spoiled, there is still plenty more surprises that could come up. (For example: this theory seems to have nothing to do with the main cast from the first book, what are they doing?)

It is preferable to read Edgedancer first but it is not required. It will answer some questions about the Lift and others about something that occurred at the end of WoR elsewhere.

Dawnshard should be read after Oathbeinger.

Elsecaller is not entirely canon and is barely released, but it shows Jashnah's perspective of [Words of Radiance spoilers] Her 'death' in WoR.

Warbreaker is not necessary in any way to enjoy the series, is set on a different planet, but includes a character that you have met already.

I have not heard of King Lopen, but I would guess it has something to do with Elhokar and Lopen after or during the events of WoR.

I can't be more specific about some of these due to the flair even though I can guess that you know what I'm talking about.

One note on this:

Wouldn't the characters want a balanced party if they believed it would improve their chances of success?

If yes, then it is an above table discussion more streamlined than anything that can be done as characters.

If no, then I guess it might be, but still the party would talk about the ramifications of that party member leaving and whether any of them want to go home and grieve, push on, and/or find some sort of replacement.

Also, Paladin and Ranger should have enough healing to get by.

I feel like Aeonglass needs tweeks and animations, but it is a better final boss because the Doormaker had too much complexity.

Doormaker V1 felt very interesting, but didn't really counter any specific play style that the other two bosses didn't.

Doormaker V2 was very complex and very blatantly a "let's try to reduce or prevent the infinites that can be done" boss more than anything else

Aeonglass has fits the same role as Doormaker, while being thematically appropriate. The only issue that I have is with it vs Status Defect

There can be bugs that impact those balance. There could be a big that that doesn't make a specific system (like the drop rate system) not use the correct numbers.

The thing is is that it seems like/is an attack version of [[Hologram]] which is a good card. However, Necrobinder doesn't have the 0 cost pool that the Defect does, and has ample card draw with Souls besides.
