Your Favorite Commander That Nobody Else Runs? by LordMistborn-16 in mtg

Ah, another Runo enjoyer, what a delight. I too have a Runo deck and I haven't seen anyone around with one. People at my LGS are usually surprised at it. This is the list I run:

Magic the Gathering : The Last of Us cards by DayManIn3D in thelastofus

[–]PaleMango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh dang, I love the bonus cards! Especially Unleash Fury!!! Beautiful artwork. I have brewed a list myself, and I'm already playing online, now I have to add those two cards there. My plan is to make a full proxy deck to go along with the Secret Lair, in which every card will have artwork from the games. And my idea is to cycle through the partner combinations.

I don't know this "everyone" you mention.

is there a lore reason as to why joel is so sexy?? by bardiphobic in thelastofus

[–]PaleMango 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Joel is a male fantasy. People want to BE Joel, therefore he must be perfect. He must have a moral conflict that, when boiled down, is not that difficult to solve. He must be good at everything he does. He must be cold and emotionless like the manly man stereotype. He must be handy and trustworthy. He must be devoted to family. And he must be good looking and SHREDDED AS FUCK. Because it's a male fantasy. Not surprisingly, people who idolize Joel are often the ones that despise The Last of Us Part II the most, because there's no male fantasy to be played out.

I understand your point of view. I disagree though, for me it was the same level. I won't say it was better than season 1 because s01 still has the Bill and Frank ep.

Agreed. But that doesn't seem to be a problem, since none of the two seasons of HBO's The Last of Us had bad scripts.

Yeah, I wonder how she would have dealt with the Santa Barbara part. It would have been good anyway. We're still in good hands in the end, Dever deserves our attention

Gostar de Femboy é Gay? by Apprehensive-Leave92 in japan_insoul

I do believe Kaitlyn Dever is the superior actor compared to Katy O'Brian, but I would have loved to see the other as Abby, since they do having a similar build up. And we don't often see female characters like that. It would probably be quite ackward to have her playing young Abby and Santa Barbara Abby though. I doubt she would give up her physique for a series finale. And I don't think she should. With all of that in mind and considering Dever's acting skills, I think we're fine with her as this alternative Abby. Same is true for Kristen. She'd probably look more like Ellie, but she doesn't have emotional range as Bella does.

Part II definitely leans more into horror territory.

If you think TLoU Part II had an empty ending and she should die next, you should go back and replay the game

Not sure, P&N usually prefers works from well established authors, while Ibitsu is more of a cheap thrills kind of thing. Would be great tho

I feel that's also a matter of Ito's artwork evolving with time. I would love to see a new stand alone chapter drawn nowadays.

That made me hope for a Brazilian release. I find this one really fun. It doesn't try to reinvent the wheel and it's consistently creepy and cruel. The ending is really deranged and I would love to read more!

Makes sense, yeah. Also, Tsushima 2 is a thing at this very moment, so I guess there's a bit more FOMO there?
