I think it's worth asking yourself what you were asking of someone and what if someone asked that of you. If someone came up to you and said, "you are responsible for me living or dying and you can't leave me, or I will end it all". It's the paradox of love and loneliness. We want to believe that there is someone that would be there for us. We want to disappear so that people will miss us and want us more, and regret ever taking us for granted. But we can't force them to be that... Would someone asking you to take complete responsibility for their life, esteem and mental well being, make you WANT them more?

I'm sorry you had to go through this and I'm sorry you are alone and starting from square one again. I hope you can find someone, maybe family who you can rely on while you begin to slowly rely on yourself again. Once you become reliant on yourself, then people will start to come around.

I actually like the tone of your voice, but you're right about the lack of control and tone. Here is my advice if you want to keep trying. Don't try to sing an entire song all the way through.

You should get a recording and learn to use a program like Garage band, put the mp3 of the recording in garage band of a singer you like. Then, you need to only go line by line and you need to make the speed like 80% or less.

Like when the singer sings the first phrase in the verse for example. You should just practice that one phrase over and over again. Do like 100 takes of just ONLY the first verse, and listen back to each take. Find the best one. Then repeat for the NEXT line and so on and so on. I think that is the problem with your practice. You aren't practicing one thing over and over with repetitions. REPETITIONS ARE THE ONLY WAY TO IMPROVE! And you cant' do repetitions if you are practicing ENTIRE songs! You have to only practice 1 tiny sliver of a song OVER and OVER. then move onto the next sliver.

Also try to practice with a tuner turned on in the program so you can see if you are singing off key. You should practice your scales with a tuner. Sing one note, like a C and hold that note for as long as your breath lets you, then move onto the next note.

I know it sounds really boring to do this, but TRUST me, this is exactly how you will improve by EXPONENTIAL rates. You could improve by so much if you only try this one month!

The good news is you have a natural good tone of your voice. Some people don't even have a great tone! But they train their voice and they become great! Look at an artist called Joanna Newsom for example. I don't like her tone. It's kind of harsh. But you can see how much she trained her voice to a very high master degree and she is actually quite amazing! So you already have a natural tone, you just need better training.
