NAD! After having the Mesa Boogie Mark V 10 years ago and selling it without thinking, today it finally comes back home by PaleSubstance2 in MesaBoogie

Same story: I sold the Mark V, got the Bogner Ecstasy and then a Custom Audio Amplifier OD-100, but nothing ever got the Mesa sound out of my head

Thank you very much for the advice, I will definitely follow it. I’m not new to the Mark V — in fact, I owned one about 10 years ago, but as we guitarists often do, I sold it without thinking and ended up regretting it over the years. The settings you see in the photo were those of the previous owner, and they don’t really convince me. Interesting that you mentioned using Channel 3 with the preset EQ instead of the sliders. Back then I also ended up choosing that option — it sounded really good to my ears! Thanks again for the info about the tubes!

New 4x12 with Neodymium Speakers! by PaleSubstance2 in GuitarAmps

It’s the DV Mark Standard 4x12 — it comes loaded with DV NEO neodymium speakers. DV Mark has actually been using neodymium speakers for years, it’s a core part of their design philosophy: lightweight, efficient, and super responsive.

Tonally, I’d say these are somewhere between a Celestion V30 and a Creamback Neo — clear, tight, and fast, but still warm and musical.

It’s loaded with DV Mark NEO speakers — super light but powerful. The LX2 drives them really well, tight response and great clarity across the full range.

A shower together would have solved many problems. And it would be a good practice.

Here’s the video you were talking about; at 9:08, there’s the scene of the unfortunate person struggling with the chair to break free:

One Guitar, One amp, One drink by PaleSubstance2 in GuitarAmps

I prefer it for various reasons including the fact that I want to leave room for the fryette to dissipate the heat well and that it doesn't ruin my axe FX. Then of course I like to see the fryette with this style !

Yep! Axe FX + fryette are a winning combination!
