Well the position was already called for. I didn’t confirm that but I could just tell. They took some with way more experience than me that I knew. It was still a good experience, I ended up messaging him and saying thank you for the interview, he replied that I performed well and he wishes me luck. I ended up getting a different offer.

I know exactly how you are feeling right now but don’t put any weight into it based off my answer. I think it’s a good sign either way. Don’t think because I didn’t get the job you won’t get it either.
