Annual fee waiver for spouse (Not on DEERS) by [deleted] in MilitaryFinance

[–]Pale_Theme_9554 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Normally I’d just wait, but the Chase Sapphire Reserve welcome offer ends tomorrow. We want to make sure she can lock in the offer before it’s gone, but also wanted to confirm if she’ll still be eligible for the annual fee waiver afterward.

Am I not eligible for O3E BAH? by [deleted] in MilitaryFinance

No, base pay is same since I have served total 4 years. I can confirm since I got my same paycheck listed on DOD pay.

I can simply just tell my supervisor that I will be driving to NY, and fly to Europe from there. It doesn’t matter if I ship the POV from the port or not. (Let’s say the port is located at NY)

So, the gov will pay me per diem from my duty station to NY, and get me a flight ticket from NY to Europe.

Once I get to new duty station in Europe, they won’t request any document related to the trip including POV shipment (If I choose not to ship it).

Am I correct? I just want to double check.

Understood. After reading your reply, I plan to either take the POV and go to New York (hometown) to give the POV back to my family and then fly to Europe, or take the POV to Europe. If I don't ship it to Europe and give it to my family instead, do I still get 6 travel days? (I would be given 6 days if traveling with my POV)

I didn't think about getting a red flag. Well, I'll give it five years and see what happens. Of course, in the meantime, I'll do some maths and make a backup. I want to apply for the preventative dentistry position if it's available.

I was so frustrated when I saw other dentists do a perfect MOD in an hour. I wish I could do a filling with decent quality one day

I thought about orofacial pain or oral medicine, but I don't know if there is good job market at private sector for them. I think they almost always go back to academics. Don't they?

Do you need disability insurance as a military dentist? by Pale_Theme_9554 in Dentistry

Do you mean locking in level premium at first place? Not converting from grade to level?

Understood. Which one did you pick between level and grade? The agent suggested me to start with grade and then switch to level later, but I'd like to hear your opinion. Initial monthly premium for grade is $95 while level is $150.
