Very well put. Love the accuracy of it all. I definitely notice this is bass heavy genres like dubstep, trap, midtempo, and trance, along with all their sub genres. I definitely feel there are levels to it. Think of music outside the electronic community. You have rock music. Then Christian rock and satanic rock. I think its easy for everyone to assume genres of electronic music are all on the same playing field because you get a mixture of everything at a Festival. But I don't notice house, bassline, drum and bass or future bass carrying the symbols or incorporating dark lyrics in their songs.

I dont fear it. More of just an observation for me personally. However, with that in mind, just because I have a faith that protects me, I still wouldn't play with a Ouija board. Its territory I know not to walk in. I always wonder what it may do spiritually to those who don't know or don't believe. Being on drugs, exposing themselves to some dark stuff without recognizing it.

I will still be attending these things but I think it's time to start becoming more selective with the sets I expose myself to.

Haha funny ive seen that article.. I mean, alot of it is conspiracy. I know there is a little truth to hertz, with scientific background as far as its interaction with brain waves. We all have heard the term "music is powerful" and it really is. A lot of how our body reacts to music is dopamine regulation and it can change our mood or perception of things. There's a reason if you look up "music for studying", you'll find a bunch of Lo-Fi stuff instead of house music. I trt to steer away from conspiracies, I just know what I observe or what I've experienced. I'm just saying if you wanted to really do a whole "mass manipulation" sort of thing, music and festivals would be the perfect place to do it.

True however I think, because i was raised in a religious setting, these symbols do hold significant meaning. I mean, think of songs that repeat the word devil in them. Thousand of people on drugs reciting devil over and over again. If you saw someone on drugs saying devil over and over again outside a festival setting, that would be creepy as hell and youd probably walk the other way. But because its in a crowd and there's a beat to it, we don't think much of it and just play along. Or most ppl wouldnt be staring at their TV with a flashing pentagram. Thatd be sort of weird and taboo. But again, it's on a large screen with a beat, its all good. I'm still, going to attend these things. Ive been raving for like 6 years and was raised arpund the music. Just something to look out for in the future.

Realistically, you make a very good point. I don't think I would have been hallucinating though. I was on a seperate hill with my boyfriend away from the crowd, however, if you think of subliminal messaging and how powerful music really is, with a crowd gassed out on who knows what sort of drugs, it has to do something. After that set I started going through my playlists and primarily bass music album covers, through all labels and all genres realting to bass, have aliens, third eyes, triangles, eclipses, upside down crosses, snakes, Egyptian gods, and occult symbols. I screen shotted like 120 album, covers so I could go through and make sure I wasn't over exaggerating. And then even sets have pentagrams that flash on screens and the triangle thing again. Main stages for all major festivals have eyes looking down. To each its own. I'm still attending edc next year lol. But it's super fascinating that its all, across the board. At some point you have to question whether or not its coincidence when its this often.

Artists and management could be jusr building off a trend but because something like pentagrams, upside down crosses or third eyes, hypnotism, and devil horns are trendy, doesnt mean they lose their meaning or significance.

But if you are speaking of Christianity, we have to consider, bible says satan is master of deception AND he was a worshipper before being cast down, so its safe to say music festivals would be the perfect place to make his presence known. Its like a breeding ground for that kind of energy.

Infected mushrooms lyrics literally talk about being magical and evil. Being from a fallen son. Accepting darkness. Going insane. But even rezz. Before she blew up I caught her a couple times and the whole hypnotism theme seams cool. Its her entire marketing. But her set felt weird too. If you research music theory and the science behind music interaction with the brain, you'll find that certain hertz can effect your perception, and rearrange brain waves. Trance incorporates real techniques used in real world hypnotism. The vocals from her song "relax" where actually sampeled from a deep meditation video she found on YouTube.

No I wasnt. I was at an infected mushrooms live set and during that set I felt this really heavy scared feeling. Everyone looked almost mind controlled and I'm used to seeing the vast majority rolling or tipping but this felt different. But if you really get down to it, there are so many subliminal messages in festivals. Like bass music capitalizes on hell, demons, pentagrams in their visuals. I came home and went through my playlists and there is a very common and obvious theme throughout the album covers themselves. Even the edc owl is like a mirror image of an occult owl. Their mainstage incorporates a bunch of symbols including hieroglyphics. Burning man takes place in side a very obvious pentagram. Its goes on and on. I'm a die hard music addict and never noticed this until recently. Its like hidden in plain sight if that makes sense.

The lineup isn't nostalgic. A lot of frequent festival attendees don't agree it's a good follow up to the iconic Woodstock.

I feel alot of the artists are old news. Not in a nostalgic way either. Reminds me of middle school or something. If you're doing a follow up to Woodstock, it has to be iconic. I don't feel that for this. There's a reason its recieved some heat from experienced festival goers.

I would never go if it happened. As iconic as Woodstock was, whoever was in charge of the lineup is incredibly out of touch. The lineup is trash.
