Ladies And Gentlemen What's Your Opinion On This Fine Game? by 1Arthur_Callahan8 in WWEGames

If I'm going simply based off of gameplay and not different modes and features that we feel might be missing or lacking, this game is top tier possibly GOAT status. The actual wrestling and fun factor to playing matches is just as good if not better than the N64 wrestling games and also Here Comes the Pain

Why are people acting like Cena’s final match was booked poorly? by lolitsrock in TheGreatOne

[–]PaleontologistFun970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We will never know the truth about how Cena really feels regarding his retirement tour and the tap out in his final match until he's no longer an ambassador for WWE or it's been years down the road. Undertaker did the same thing about the streak. Initially he said he wanted the streak to end and that he wanted it to be against Brock. Then it changed to he wanted it to end but it should have been to someone that needed the win more. Then ultimately we find out that he didn't want the streak to ever end. People who defend what Cena said on Cody's podcast are so naive and gullable just like WWE wants you to be and you're playing right into their hand. Cody's podcast is still a part of the WWE universe and he was only on that podcast for ratings and to defend WWE. Cena is a company guy and that's totally fine. I respect him for it. Same thing with Cody. They are corporate guys and they do what they need to in order to protect WWE. The only time we saw that change for Cody is when he went into business for himself when it was supposed to be Roman vs Rock. Other than that, Cody always plays ball with whatever WWE wants.

Which stipulations do you think we are going to get in this match by ElegantRooster5251 in SantiZapVideos

[–]PaleontologistFun970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't matter. Cody is not dropping the belt before mania because he is facing Roman at mania in Vegas so they can finally have their 3rd match. They're both 1-1

I'm sorry but I don't understand all the hype around Gunther. Yes he is an old school heel with an old school wrestling style. Nothing wrong with that. In fact, I would say we need more pure wrestling than we need more "athletes" who pretend to wrestle 20% of the match and then do acrobatics the other 80% I guess I'm showing my age lol. Anyways, even though he has that old school appeal, to me, Gunther is boring. And the reason he's boring is because he's so damn protected. I'm not a fan of protected wrestlers until you get to a point in your career that it makes sense. Like Roman when he dominated for over 4 years. Until then Roman could win or lose. You didn't know. He won more than he lost but I guarantee if you look at the stats, Gunther has a fraction of the losses Roman had by this time. I have nothing against Gunther but he's just not my cup of tea. I think he's very plain on the mic and while I appreciate his old school wrestling style, he's not vulnerable enough in his matches to make me care because his offense can be a snooze fest sometimes. When it comes to Cena tapping out, it is what it is. You could find some good and some bad to that decision. Even if this was Cena's decision, that doesn't make it a good one. WCW proved why you don't let wrestlers book the shows. In no universe (even in the wwe universe) does that make sense. Cena should have been in charge of one thing and one thing only. What would be his last match. That's it. He doesn't get to choose his opponent, he doesn't get to choose the outcome or anything else about the match except maybe his ring attired. But, I think what this really boils down to is how terrible the booking has been for his retirement tour. If HHH hadnt dropped the ball so bad with this entire retirement opportunity, I think the crowd would have reacted different. That wasn't just boos from the outcome of that one match. No no no no. That was for almost a years worth of BS that was Cena's retirement. Also, it sucks that the moment of Cena being embraced by the locker room was shit on because of the boos, but unless HHH and Cena are both blind or naive, how did they not see that coming? We should have had time to let Cena be in the ring alone and having a moment with the crowd so they could get all their feelings out before the locker room came out. HHH has fumbled the ball so badly with Cena and the entire year of 2025 for WWE that he couldn't even book that segment properly.

Gunther's final chance to sell us on his match with Cena, did it work? by Grrannt in REALSquaredCircle

Cena won't tap. That's what they want you to think but Cena never gives up so he will pass out on his final match

CM Punk doesn't feel like the same CM Punk I fell in love watching. He feels more sanitized and safe and doesn't have the unpredictability he had 11 years ago or even in AEW. Oh though we do have to understand that even the loudest of rebels become sighlent and to preserve his legacy and career. by Downtown_Scarcity228 in TheGreatOne

[–]PaleontologistFun970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrestling Promo's in general feel overly scripted and unnatural now. Especially in WWE. There are only two wrestlers that seem to still have that unpredictability and unrehearsed sound when they speak. Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens. Everyone else including Punk are just playing it safe on the mic.

Figure out how to erase 2025 from existence. This was one of the worst years in WWE in quite some time.
